How can u tell what is what. Started bioidenticals, taking so many supps meds, liver couldn't metabolize progesterone. I took a week off of all supps except liver ones and regular thyroid heart meds. Regular number is 1-3000, mine was 23,000. They took me off progesterone and two meds. Numbers starting yo come down, liver numbers upto 400. They're on the way down with so many liver supps. Down one psych med and lowered doses of other, I don't know what's what except confusion. Ondamed has been helping me. Lyme low do I'm assuming rest of insanity is menopause. Estriol taking daily tiny amount and it's in range. Any takes. Doing daily juicing especially beets for liver

This is a rough time for sure. It is hard to know the culprit of the symptoms during this time. And the abx can cause a rise or fall in your hormones.

The only thing you can do is to test frequently to see where your hormones are and adjust the
bio identicals.

The supplements that helped me lower liver enzymes were NAC and Alpha Lipoic Acid.

Rhodiola and Vitex can help balance things at menopause.
My periods had just stopped, but when I started taking Rhodiola, they resumed.
I continued Rhodiola and was regular for another twelve months before they ceased.

When I was getting hot flashes every 20 minutes, a friend suggested sage tea.
Two cups of sage tea per day calmed that down in just a couple days.

Then I found out about Vitex.
This helps balance the female hormones, and gets top reviews at iHerb.com.

I have continued Vitex daily to control hot flashes.

bioidenticals can be really hard to adjust to. I have tried them several times and was unable to feel balanced. I take oral estradiol, an extremely low dose and that has worked really well for me.

Oral estradiol works very well for me also.

My gyn is a top notch doctor, and that is what he put me on when I didn't respond to an estrogen patch.

Great question-I'm off meds 3 months now, but having muscle aches, nausea and occasional dizziness. It comes and goes, and not getting worse...I'm assuming menopause. Oh, and a burning tongue-which I heard is from low estrogen

I use Milk Thistle and Liv 52 as liver support. Also use bio identical hormones that help really help. I too take thyroid meds and cortisol for low adrenal function- did you have your adrenals checked? Low cortisol and/or thyroid problems both can cause brain confusion.

This is one crazy illness I went from one medication for TMJ to about 30 something these days. Spacing out the medications is very complicated. Traveling is nuts and I can never get through the night without having to go to the bathroom because of the water I take the pills with!

At first I thought the hot flashes were menopause related but then realized it is these co-infections!

Try Maca.. It helps with energy levels and hot flashes by regulating hormones. I also use lachesis mutus (homeopathic) to.relieve symptoms.. Hope you see some relief soon!
