hi there,

do any of you guys experience the intense burning migraines right behind your forehead where it
feels like your head is being expanded because I'm recovering from attack I had earlier today and it knocked me for a loop and was accompanied with some confusion where I just couldn't follow conversations and I was making frequent spelling errors while typing along with slurring my words while articulating my thoughts. They feel like your head is being grilled on a stove and somebody is squeezing pressure inside your head. Is this maybe bartonella migraine or another Lyme infection because I also see flashing lights in my vision while it's ongoing. I just hope no permanent damage has been done. Anybody notice this?

You should be examined by a doctor ASAP. Please call your GP right now - yes, right now - and tell the nurese there about your symptoms.

Do not try to guess any infection to these. Just don't. That's for later on and for your LLMD.

Primarily, you need to have the physical nature of what you describe examined.

It could be a kind of stroke and immediate care might be required. If a stroke, there is a certain medicine that must be given within hours. It's a very narrow window.

Ask your GP if your eye doctor should also be called next.

Seriously, do not mess around with this. Make these calls now. Please. Immediate assessment is vital. It may turn out to be not a stroke but the symptoms suggest it sure could be.

You need to mention this in your call to the doctor. Symptoms of a stroke, tell them. The slurred speech is just one red flag.

Find someone to drive you or get the number of taxi service.

So others can more easily read what you report:

1. migraine "attack earlier today"

2. "accompanied with some confusion"

3. Tracking - "where I just couldn't follow conversations"

4. Motor skill trouble - "I was making frequent spelling errors while typing along"

5 Slurred speech -- . **** " with slurring my words while articulating my thoughts". ****

6. PRESSURE ****- "like head is being grilled on a stove and somebody is squeezing pressure inside your head".

7. " flashing lights in my vision"

My star marks highlight key things to stress when you talk to them.

Especially if the pressure is new to you or much worse or somehow different than the "typical" migraines you experience, this can be a sign of stroke.

Slurred speech is a major stroke symptoms yet every single one you mention is, too, when happening at the same time or within a close span of time

Your GP - or an Urgent Care / ER doctor needs to know ASAP. Minutes could matter here for recovery in such an event.

Good luck.
