Dear Group,

A while ago I ordered some healthy snacks from nuts.Com for my husband and me.

My husband loved the dried pumpkin seeds we got in a huge bag so he snacked for hours on the seeds.

Later, in the wee hours of the morning Nick woke up with TERRIBLE stomach cramps. He was in excruciating pain and also felt nauseous like he was having diarrhea and also throwing up. After diarrhea he felt better and he tried to be tough and he didn't go to the hospital.

Weeks later, I ate my own favorite snack from nuts.com. it was dried organic mangoes. They were so delicious and juicy I ended up eating a lot of them one evening.

In the middle of the night I woke up with cramps in my stomach so awful it reminded me of when I was suffering with the cramps of apendicitis! The pain in the stomach and bowels was excruciating. Nick spoke of taking me to the hospital so I took a tramadol pill and got ready to go to the hospital but I think I ended up with diarrhea myself and I didn't go to the hospital in the end. After that bad night, I felt better the next morning, just like Nick had.

Later I was reading on-line about the parasites we harbor without knowing it much of the time.

I started reading about people who were doing all-natural parasite clenses for their health. They were using PUMPKIN SEEDS AND DRIED MANGOES!!

So...what happened to us from our snacking on supposedly healthy snacks?

Did we make the bugs really angry when they were in the throws of death?

Did we accidently deliver the raw ingredients for a parasite clense right to our bodies without ever knowing?

What do you think?

My husband and I have been diagnosed with Lyme Disease back in 2008. He uses an infrared sauna for himself which he loves, while I have used a hyperbaric chamber mostly.

Both of us did our antibiotics years ago and that didn't go too well so we switched to herbal protocols, more natural things.

Has anybody experienced anything close to this?

I guess I do have to mention that the Internet has a lot about how eating too many dried mangoes causes stomach cramps. I also should say this: when I was suffering the result of eating the dried mangoes Nick said this to me: "You totally remind me of my own terrible suffering after eating all the pumpkin seeds that one night."

Thanks for listening

It sounds like it could have been a parasite cleanse. Did you see any parasites?

But it also could have been some kind of bacteria on the nuts or dried fruit. Someone I know got really sick from eating cheap nuts.

The snacks were VERY expensive and very professionally packaged but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

I guess there could have been bacteria on the mangoes and pumpkin seeds and maybe that's why we both got sick. But the pain was as bad as apendicitis. I'm not kidding!

I don't know what I'm looking for when it comes to the appearance of a parasite. Wish I did.

Something weird happened to the both of us. One thing for sure--I won't be ordering any more snack food from that company. Should I tell them what happened to us and see if they have anything interesting to say?

Both foods consumed, pumpkin seeds - and dried mangos - when eating in large amounts will cause all kinds of lower GI literal blow-back. The fiber / bulk itself expands greatly in the gut and draws in a lot of water.

Especially dried fruits. In excess as described it's not surprising. I have to admit that I did the same thing with dried mangoes once. They were so sweet and delicious and I had too many.

All nuts are also high in histamine and most are high in oxalates and salicylates. Any of the above could cause GI distress .. especially high histamine.

Keep that in mind when consuming nuts! They are not the end-all cure.

I don't know about dried mangos, but pumpkin seeds are quite known to clean parasites.

It could have been a parasite cleanse, in my opinion.

My bowel movements become suspicious looking if I eat a handful of pumpkin seeds, as in reminding me I really need to get back on board treating parasites.

Pumpkin seeds also cause me to experience a histamine flush in my face/upper body.

Although pumpkin seeds are a well known remedy for parasites, IMO, it would take more than one 'meal' of pumpkin seeds.

I have used pumpkin seeds over a period of weeks with good results. They are especially effective for tape worms.

If you are taking a gander at your stools, there is no mistaking parasites. There are micro versions which we can't see also.
