NEW- 2018 IDSA Antimicrobial Guidelines For IV Therapy

OPAT is Outpatient Antimicrobial Therapy- in other words, doing IV antibiotics at home rather than at a clinic or hospital.

One of my favorite (NOT) lines... QUOTE- "All patients should have ID expert review prior to initiation of OPAT (strong recommendation, very low-quality evidence)."

[lol]

Boy, can I ever! HA!

Sorry Bob, couldn't help myself there. And you are welcome.

What would you like to know, perhaps I can help? No promises.

What is an ID expert? What is concern about getting a review? What does (strong recommendation, low quality evidence) refer to?
