LYME SCI: Are hidden ingredients in pills making you sicker?
By Lonnie Marcum - LymeDisease.org - 4 January 2019
Excerpts:
. . . It is more likely that MCAS patients will react to one or more of the “inactive” ingredients—the fillers, binders, dyes, or preservatives in their medications—known as excipients. . . .
- from the Vulvar Pain Foundation -- this list can help anyone, though, considering lower oxalate choices for whatever reason body-wide, not just women with v.p. & men can also be affected by oxalate genital symptoms as well.
who teaches all this for parents of kids with autism to help relieve diet reactions. Those with lyme often also benefit from some of the same dietary approaches. -

Believe me, it's HARD to avoid all the triggers.
Thanks.

- Yeah, yet while learning what we need to know is very overwhelming it could save so much misery.
I've been watching many lectures, articles, and this is fascinating even if overwhelming.
Better to know the triggers / toxin levels, though, so that one can at least prioritize - sift and sort from symptoms that one might think are from lyme, etc.
and take some kind of protective measures that Dr. Shaw and Sally Norton discuss in their presentations. -

- Extensive articles detailing much about OXALATE toxicity:
Sally Norton, MPH talks with us about OXALATES & PLANT TOXINS
my note: please do not let the word "carnivore" in the title at the link scare you away.
They briefly discuss some folks who were so sick they have had to eliminate all plants to seek (and many have found) improvement so as to then better be able to sort it all out if they start adding back in plants.
There are few who do so well, they stick with animal products. Amber O'Hearn at KetoFest 2018 (YouTube) has the best detail there regarding nutritional aspects and gut relief - and her recent interview with DietDoctor, also on YouTube. Just to note, not to delve into here.
The truth about OXALATES - Interview with Dr. William Shaw, Dir. Great Lakes Lab
Interview part is just over an hour. Dec. 2016 -

You changed it from "mast cell" to oxalates .. or do you have two threads going?
I have been low oxalate for about 3 years. I was eating very high oxalates for about 2 years and I totally crashed.
It's a real danger that people are NOT aware of. All of the paleo and AIP diets are very high in oxalates. It's really sad.

- The change reflects an effort to make the headline more concise. Both matters deal with "hidden" elements that might not be considered.
Mast cells are still here covered in the first post & LymeDisease article "Hidden ingredients" about excipients in Rx that (for some / many people) might for years have been triggering mast cells / other reactions.
Oxalates in posts that follow. Both / all relate to pain or other issues that are hard to figure out and often "hidden" from basic problem solving. -

OK .. Thought maybe I was seeing things. LOL
Very helpful for those who are having issues and don't know why.

Often helpful for those with kidney stones, a few starting links here to learn more about it might have wider-reaching help for those who might have oxalate build-up over years.
I do not suggest this to take along with with a high oxalate diet, however, Nothing is as helpful as being sure these are not pumped in by the bushel in the first place yet
in addition to some of the mag,, calc., and K CITRATEs suggested by those educated in oxalate toxicity / build-up . . . Chanca Piedra might also be something to help in various ways.
Best to consult with a naturopathic doctor (or one with similar focus) who also has training in oxalate issues. -
