Last week we went to FL and I had 3 fecal transplants with a gastroenterologist who has a high success rate with them. I did the transplants to keep c. diff. from coming back and to reestablish normal gut flora after four rounds of antibiotics to treat the c. diff. The antibiotics didn't work. The c. diff. always came back.
And after getting down to about a dozen safe foods, I'm absolutely in the market for normalizing my gut flora and being able to eat normally again, instead of reacting to most of the things I put in my mouth.
Most people experience dieoff for a week or two after the procedure that is limited and manageable. Unfortunately my detox pathways are down and the toxins are rocking my world. Time will tell if my body will be able to get rid of the toxins.
I've had to abandon other therapies because of impaired detox. Abandoning this one isn't an option. Now that the transplants are inside me, I can't take them out. Only time will tell if my toxic load will become manageable. The doc thinks everybody is identical, and I'll be fine. Everybody isn't identical.

I've found that sometimes I have to learn the hard way what my limits are. And then I don't do that again! Some of us have to go very slowly with treatments so that our livers can process them.
And now that I know that, I try to do anything that's new in a small way to see how it's going to work. So I suggest operating like that in the future. If you handle well, then add a little more the next time, and just try a gradual increase.
