Hi guys!
I have been sick with misdiagnosed Lyme for over 20 years. I was on all antibiotics cocktails etc. etc. My Lyme dr stopped all antibiotics about 2 years ago. Found a neurologist in Florida that handles my pain with Lyrica and Cymbalts.

Originally, the Lyme rash which my MD said it was from shaving was under my left arm. I had to have knee replacement and now having shoulder issues all on the Left side. Lost hearing & vision on left side also. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks

(breaking up the paragraph for easier reading for many here)

Maryc, I am so sorry you are dealing with so much. I think multiple pains and problems are familiar to anyone with Lyme disease. There seems to be a cascade of them.

I am glad you have a good neurologist.
I seem to have all my problems centered on my right side - including hearing loss! I always wondered about that.

Anyone else have side focused Lyme disease problems?

Take care, Maryc, and keep us posted.

You are very welcome! But I should thank you, as I have not met someone with my "one-sided-ness" before!

I know what you feel about sharing info about pain and any medical issues with others! Lots of people here who are willing to listen and share.

Take care

Yes, most of my pain was left-sided. Any time I have issues, it's on the left. Almost always.

Welcome, Mary!

I have one-sided neck pain, so yes, I think Lyme pain can be on one side.

All we can do is try stuff to see if it helps. I take capsules of turmeric powder now to reduce pain in my joints and soft tissues.

I get the powder in bulk at the health food store and dip 00-size empty capsules in it. I take one in the am and pm. If this helps, it's a really simple and easy remedy. Turmeric is anti-inflammatory.

Magnets can help take down pain. I used to experiment with all kinds of them. I like the roller ones, since I can roll them around on me and take down pain in a wide area. Very simple to do.

I used to wear them on my clothing too, over the areas that hurt me the most. Once I forgot I had one on my jacket, and when I got into someone's car, the collar of my jacket immediately flew up to the interior roof of the car.

I never saw such a startled look on someone's face as the expression on that driver's face with my coat on me sticking to the roof of her car, like, was I an alien?! Ok, we gotta laugh sometimes at our predicaments!

If your pain is surface or near the surface, there's a really good liniment for pain reduction. Its name is Zheng Gu Shui. It's a Chinese remedy. Martial artists use it on their bruises. That's how I heard about it, was from the martial arts community. No, I wasn't doing martial arts - I was listening to them talk about their experiences.

Depends what is causing symptoms, of course. You could try drinking mangosteen juice to see if it helps your vision. I drink the MangoXan juice version of it, an ounce a day.

If you have any access to a PEMF machine, it can help with hearing. It can also take down pain.

I'm sorry to hear what you're going through.

I recommend going to a LLMD. You can post in the Seeking A Doctor forum to ask for a recommendation for one who is in your area. Ultimately, treating the Lyme Disease is what's going to cure the pain and other symptoms.

Inflammation is a huge factor in pain and Lyme Disease, and inflammation also has a lot to with diet. Here is information about healing chronic inflammation:

Magnesium Malate supplements are good for pain, muscle health, and will help you sleep.

Feel better!

Hi Robin 123......Thanks for help, I Am going to try the Tumeric & Martial arts cream.

We do have to laugh at ourselves sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!
I laugh at the Commercial where the Older lady sniffs the young girl that has Ben gay on..... She says ...you remind me of my Walter!!!! I go to bed smelling like a tube of something!!! Lol lol lol

Thanks again! Will keep advised.

Yeah, laughter is good...The medical office where the PEMF machine was at had some interesting healing activity going on.

Someone once got jumped, he was all bandaged up in white bandages, ie his head kinda looked like a mummy, and he was sitting on a couch by an open door holding the coil of the machine that was clicking away with some fairly noisy magnetic pulses.

And people were walking by, all with the same look on their faces, like what planet is this in there? It's kinda fun to goof with people sometimes...

Btw, the Zheng Gu Shui is a thin red liniment, not a cream. It's even available at my health food store.

Turmeric has great press - it looks like it's about good for everything. We're treating everything when we take it!

One more thing - when you copy quotes, you should be able to type your comments in the post underneath. You don't have to make it as two separate posts. Play around with it and see if you can get it into one post.

So sorry to hear about the pain you are in. I take low dose naltrexone and it helped me to be able to work full time. Tumeric helps me as well.
Hope you find something that helps, pain stinks.
