My DD has relapsed with her Bart. She has had a very stressful year and we think the stress has caused it to re-emerge. She came into town this weekend and she has the deep red marks and is not feeling well.

In addition to the bart marks, she has been dealing with some sort of staph or MRSA infection that she got while at the beach in early July. She has been on Bactrim(felt great on it) then Cipro, and now another round of Bactrim. Her gut is now a wreck and she can't continue to take antibiotics and she still has the skin infection.

I ordered her Cryptoleptis salve from Woodland Essence and the infection seems to already be doing better. She and her husband will be looking into coming up with a plan for her to go and see our LLNP in the coming months since she was already planning on being my riding partner for my visit.

I say all of that to ask the good people of lymenet: Is there anything she can go ahead and start on for the Bart? She doesn't think she's been bitten again, and she really feels like it's just the Bart. She can't handle antibiotics at all.

She's young, married, in college, working full time, has moved countries twice, and they are now looking to move again soon. To say she is stressed is an understatement.

She would love an herbal protocol. If you are reading this and have done an all herbal protocol for bart, if you would share with me I would be grateful. Thank you.

This Mom is overwhelmed.

Dear Overwhelmed Mom,
Been there, done that -- being an overwhelmed mom, that is -- for several decades before our DD was finally properly diagnosed with Lyme and eventually with Bartonella. She lost nearly 3 decades of her life to undiagnosed Lyme (plus Bart, of course), but she eventually succeeded in overcoming both Lyme and Bart, and she celebrated the tenth anniversary of her recovery in Dec., 2018. Yea!

Her eventual success in overcoming Bartonella resulted from a complicated protocol aimed at intracelllular bacteria, but that was over ten years ago. Since then, there is a new drug which is working beautifully for Bartonella -- namely difulfiram (Antabuse).

Also, Morgellons patients are having very good luck with Dapsone for treating Bartonella, according to the leading Morgellons expert in the US whom I've heard speak at Morgellons conferences. Dapsone has intracellular effects, too.

I don't know of any Morgellons patients who are having success with herbal therapies, and my personal bias is that antibiotics are the most cost-effective and efficient way to go. (Morgellons disease is a skin version of Lyme disease, most often with visible skin lesions. Both Borrelia and Bartonella are typically involved in Morgellons.)

Pure Colloidal Silver is great. When I'm sick, I take two tablespoons twice per day. It works like an antibiotic, but it doesn't have the negative gut side-effects that antibiotics have.

I really liked Byron White Protocol For Bartonella.

Bach Flower Remedies are fantastic for emotional healing, stress, etc

I've been doing a lot of reading on Antabuse, and from everything I've read, it's targeting Borellia and Babesia. Interesting that you have heard it's being used for Bart.

The Dapsone protocol looks promising too, but she's very reluctant to try anything that could hurt her gut even more. She's a wreck with her gut.

Thank you both for replying.

similare what is happening with me! my mother-in-law diead then my own mom right after and bam I was really sick again.

I decided to go a natural route right off this time as abx made my gut bad...

went to LLND and she put me on:

Physica GlycoPan Tox
Argentyn 23 (a better kind of clloidal silver I think)
Artemisinin by AllergyResearchGroup

and some other supplements. you can PM me if you want. I can tell these things are helping. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I know it is hard, im sorry
