Congressional Committee Passes MORE Act to Legalize Marijuana ;

http://www.cannabissciencetech.com/news/congressional-committee-passes-more-act-legalize-marijuana

November 20, 2019 marked a monumental day in the prohibition of cannabis. The House Judiciary Committee approved a bill that would federally discriminalize cannabis by removing it from the Controlled Substance Act and repunge particular crimes related to marijuana.

The Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act (MORE ACT) had been approved in a congressional committee and will now move to the full House to vote on.

One man's medicine can be another man's poison.

I highly suggest that you know your genetics before you dive into cannabis/THC treatment. Things can go from horrible to absolute madness.

One genetic mutation that I personally know is key in this is COMT rs 4680.

I always thought that one day cannabis would save me from endless pain.

Nope. I can't stand to be around anyone who has smoked it in the past hour. It's like death to me. So now I fear it being legalized because half of the people in public places will smell like it.

I may end up being confined to my home. The perfumes and other store fragrances are already about to kill me.

Let's look at the big picture.

Many patients with chronic illnesses use medicinal marijuana.

What is at stake is alot of states have legalized it either recreationally or medically. 33 states have legalized medical marijuana and 14 states have legal recreational marijuana.

Buisinesses involved in their legal state's marijuana industry, with all their investments, all their time, effort, money, thousands of jobs, ect, could evaporate really quickly if the FEDS decide to shut them down.

Federal law is pretty clear. . . Marijuana is illegal.
Federal law trumps state law.

Many patients choose not to smoke it due to the crude THC delivery system that also delievers harmful substances. Many other products to choose from. . . tinctures, oils, capsules, pills, lotions, edibles, cannabis patches, vape oils,
topical creams, and plants and flowers to juice.

In New York and Minnesota only non-smokable marijuana products are allowed for sale in medical dispensaries.

It helps so many people with chronic pain, gastro ailments, PTSD, neuropathy, ect. It would be a good thing to honor each state's laws.

I'm all for medicinal use, just don't be around me when you are smoking it. Same with cigarettes.

gives me WAY more pain.

it all depends on the day/type, etc, etc.

and plus all the people I know addicted to it. they are slaves to it.

BUT, it can offer reprieve from some symptoms for sure for many. AND the oil can def. heal.

So has it any antibacterial/antiviral properties?
Doesn't it suppress the immune system, which would be bad for us with lyme and co infections?

California has legalized cannabis now, and it's becoming a huge industry.

Glad to hear the federal level may be decriminalizing it.

A friend was discussing it with me over the TG holiday time. She said there's a movement towards equity economics, meaning for those who were jailed for having any amount of pot to have a chance to get some economic support if they would like to work in the industry.

I think we're all individual as to how we handle it. I was really hoping it could help me, and I got sick on everything I tried. Boo. But others are able to handle it.

Broxin, in answer to your question re the immune system, I don't think so, because alot of people ill with all kinds of ailments have been using it medically for years.

Robin, awesome.

But, you don't think that it has antiviral/antibacterial properties

Or you don't think that it suppresses the immune system?
