Medical medium book. Anyone try it. Even if it helps with symptoms.

I'm on it for about 1 year. I no longer have lyme, but I'm using it for other issues.

I think celery juice should be in every house, if anyone is suffering from ANY chronic disease such as autoimmune, chronic infections, CFS, brain problems (depression, brain fog) and with any chronic digestive issues.

it's very widespectrum in action.

Most people can't take it though, they have to start with very low doses. Herxes can be horrible, most posts in celery juice groups are about what they call 'detox reactions': horrible skin rashes come, loose stools, headaches, etc.

My detox reaction is now nerve and muscle pains. If I overdose it, my whole body gets hard like a piece of wood, and I feel pain on my neck, back, then comes anxiety, insommia... Well, pretty much like a herx. So I take it with care, now I'm again taking it one day yes, one no, this way it is manageable.

I think it is almost like my remedy number 1. It helps digestion immensely.

I don’t think celery juice alone will kill Lyme.

Brussels used it after she got rid of Lyme for other issues.

The short answer is no.

Muscle aches and pains from it are probably from oxalate build up.

How can you guys say it doesn't help, without trying it?

If I had lyme again, I would certainly give it a try.

All foods have oxalates, as far as I know.
And anti-oxalates, as Buhner affirms.

And now, I'm not getting any muscle/ nerve pains from celery, at least this week, since I returned taking it. And I'm taking it in higher amounts (like today, I took 750ml).

Celery always does something different, specially in the gut /stomach.

I certainly can digest food better, so that alone will be a reason to take it (I feel less heavy in the stomach, after a meal).
Plus, it opens my appetite.

Now my gut is quiet after celery juice.

I feel what celery is doing this week is mostly giving me energy that I spent fighting the flu weeks ago.

It also helps me with grounding, possibly due to electrolytes.

And this year, my garden is covered with certain pollen, with a yellow powder, amazing. So I'm also using it in my nostrils, so that I don't react to it. It did not cure it, but if I don't use it, I cannot even go out in the garden.

With it, I can work daily in the garden, even if my hair and clothes get yellow from pollen.

Sincerely, celery juice is the best thing I tried since 2018. It's not easy to take, due to various reactions (and preparation, it takes some time).

A friend is interested in this approach so I went on Amazon and noticed that Anthony William has a new book coming out on the April 21 that includes lyme treatment. It's called Medical Medium: Cleanse to Heal ...

He wrote 5 books so far, this will be the 6th book.

His view is that lyme is viral, which I first thought it could be true, but after pondering more, I realized that it can't be true.

At least, not in my case.

I guess some people with mostly neuro symptoms could have viral charges much more elevated than others, and many have never seen a tick in their lives...

For them, I would agree. Specially for those who consider themselves more autoimmune than with an active infection.

In my case, lyme started after a tick bite, my daughter too, and it got beter after years of Buhner's herbs and other stuff, and finally went dormant with Borrelia burgd nosodes, so how can I deny the involvement of bacteria in our case.

Anyway, I find William's approach good for post lyme symptoms that remain low grade, auto immune, people reacting with allergies, migraines,...

... unexplained pains (any part of the body), neuro pains, neuro symptoms, gut symptoms, liver symptoms, thyroid symptoms, skin problems, rashes, CFS, MS, etc...

I am very interested to learn more on this. I have heard about Anthony Williams and other people's take on the celery juice. Apparently the benefits not only help with lyme but an array of other chronic illnesses too.

Yes, exactly. I no longer have lyme (for more than 10 years), but celery still kicks my butt!!¨

It treats the gut, liver, nerves, joints....

You don't necessarily see effects immediately OR you may feel so bad that you have to stop. Each person reacts very different, but herxes / detox reactions are VERY common and the main reason people stop taking it (or have to pulse it, or take just very little amounts).

Brussels, how do you prepare it? Any add-ins that are OK and others that you should avoid? Thanks! [Smile]

Apparently there is a special Omega celery juicer that Williams prefers. A friend sent for one but it has not yet arrived. I'm interested in seeing how it goes with her.

Brussels, If you are over Lyme I am curious as to what you are treating now. You say that celery juice is kicking your butt.

What is still wrong? And I don’t mean this in a disrespectful way.

Kristyn, if you don't have a juicer, you may prepare it in a blender.

Simply take off leaves (they are too bitter), chop it, and blend it with the MINIMUM amount of water possible. You got to stir it often with a spoon.

Use a kitchen cloth, cheese cloth, or a handkerchief to strain it (extract the juice).

If you have a juicer, it's much faster.

Start with small amounts until you reach at least 16 oz.

Expect loose stools (not like diarrhea, because you won't feel extremely weak). It cleans the gut, the mucus of the gut and some stools come together, of course.

Yes. Anthony William recommends an Omega juicer.

Hiker, since lyme left in 2009, I haven't treated anything in particular for years.

I developed food allergies slowly and some arthritis (very small compared to lyme).

My brain was not 100%, but about 80%.
I know I still have tinnitus but it's very light compared to the time I had lyme.

I also started loosing weight. Every year, I lost a bit. It was a slow process, but I could never gain weight back.

That's when I decided to go back to treatment, because I thought I was not going to be alive in 10 years, if I kept losing weight (as I'm already very underweight).

I think it had to do with my food allergies (I could barely eat any fruit anymore...).

Well, after 4 months in the diet William recommends, ALL my food / fruit allergies disappeared.

I'm 1.5 years into it, not losing weight anymore but gaining it slowly back, brain fog is gone for sure, and arthritis is healing.

Lyme also left my liver in a very bad shape. I always felt it was stuck, hard, heavy.

Well, this is also gone (with strict low fat diet from William).

I added celery later, in May 19, since I bought my juicer. It kicked my butt since start.

This spring, I got already 5 tick bites, as I'm working in the garden every day. All bites are still visible, because each takes time to heal.

Before a bite heals, I have another one, and another and another. These little suckers love me.

In the past, it took me hours to feel awful after a tick bite.

Usually, I would feel bad before I found the tick biting me!

So far, after almost 11 years, lyme hasn't returned.

William says we all suffer from chronic viral infections, anyway, to a larger or lesser degree. We feed these pathogens with milk products, eggs and gluten, plus GMOs, pesticides and heavy metals.

Avoiding milk and eggs cured all my food allergies in 4 months. And my daughter's (except for kiwi, that she still can't eat).

It's an interesting theory. I'm trying his suggestions for 1.5 years, with a lot of positive outcomes that I could not get with Klinghardt treatments.

Klinghardt helped me a lot, but then I got stuck. Not with lyme, but with these remaining issues.

Lyme for me meant: extreme CFS, awful arthritis, brain infections, heart problems, gut problems, awful tinnitus, eye floaters, extreme electrosensitivity, night sweats, air hunger, night and day terrors, muscle paralysis, liver and gall bladder problems, practically zero short term memory, loss of all my language skills etc etc.

Nope. This is long gone.
I'm just treating other health issues, that are also chronic, but they do not even look close to what I suffered during lyme.

Just look at all people who cured lyme: many say they became autoimmune, right? Or got chemical sensitivities. Or Master Cell activation disorder.

Well, that's where I was!!

Cures no. Just like how he reports that it cures cancer and 25 other conditions. Just no.

I would be very wary of the oxalates in celery. ALL plant foods have oxalates and it is a poison. The buildup in the tissue can present with different symptoms.

You will have to dig to get the information but it is there. It is only beginning to come to light in mainstream and Lyme treatment and diagnosis.
