Good morning all.

New to the boards, just diagnosed with "remote" Lyme last week. Started doxycycline that very day.

My symptoms seem mostly to be subtle neurological ones... No fever or pain so far, except for mild headaches now and then. Which is, um, concerning.

I'm looking for a coordinating MD in Boston or Cambridge. I think I also should see a neurologist and a Lyme-friendly one would be the ticket.

Thank you! And fellow New Englanders, hope you are enjoying March Junior so far!

Hmm, I have never heard of 'remote' Lyme before.

Lyme disease is diagnosised clinically. Yet mainstream doctor's are evidenced based, which means they want positive blood tests. We simply don't have reliable testing that is CDC approved. But if you go to a Lyme specialist, a Lyme Litterate Medical Doctor, they will use more sensitive testing labs. So when it comes to your health and this horrendous disease, I would not waste any time on doctors that are not trained properly, according to ILADS standards.

You need to watch "Under Our Skin" here;

I can help you find a LLMD if you decide this is the way you want to proceed. You can still use mainstream medical doctors for everything not related to Lyme.

Research all you can. Knowledge is power. You have to be your own health advocate. Let us know. We are always open.

Healing wishes to you.
