Welcome to Lyment Williams

You might want to edit your post and remove your name as this is a public forum.

You can request a LLMD through Global Lyme Alliance here;

https://globallymealliance.org/education-awareness/find-medical-professional/

You can request a LLMD through ILADS here;

https://www.ilads.org/patient-care/provider-search/

You must become your own healthcare advocate. Research to learn all you can about Tick and Vector Borne Infections. Lymenet has an excellent 'search' function located in the middle of home page that contains Lyment members experiences with every aspect of this debilitating disease.
Or you can simply post your question and someone will respond.

Get your finances in order as Lyme is expensive to treat because LLMD'S don't accept insurances. Here's why;

In order to save money, get prepared for your first appointment with your LLMD. Start a folder and include all blood work results, tests preformed, medications list, daily symptoms list, and every medical practitioner seen and every medical procedure done with a copy of results.

Good luck to you on your healing path.
I will send you a private message.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for OH.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.

Here is a link for them:

http://www.lymenet.org/BurrGuide200810.pdf

LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.

Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=025539;p=0

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/OhioLyme/info

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/PennsylvaniaLyme/info

Maybe they can help. They would know better about OH & PA.

Some more resources for you (including Support Groups info):

http://whatislyme.com/lyme-in-pennsylvania/

http://www.lymenet.org/SupportGroups/UnitedStates/Ohio/

Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.

Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. View "Under Our Skin" and "Under Our Skin2: Emergence" DVDs. Check your local library or buy them used online.

Btw - you should not use your real name on Lymenet because this is a public forum with all sorts of people on it. Read the following link which explains why:

"Please Do Not Post Your Real Name"
http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=011844;p=0

To remove your name from the signature line, click on "My Profile" under LymeNet Flash, then "Edit Profile" on the left side. Scroll down to "Profile Fields" where it says "Signature". Make your change, then click "Update Profile".

You would have to contact one of the moderators in order to change your username.
