Just had a first appointment with a new lyme doc in my area..RI/MASS
how can i find out if anyone else has had success with this doc.. I mean i know i cant post names on here.

I recently got a really nice email from someone who was cured and she suggests making sure you know 3 ppl who have been cured by a doc before you go with them

I dont want to waste any more time.
Im really limited and if im gonna find money somehow to do what this guy suggests i want to know im in good hands.

I also would like to know a list of the top docs in the states to see if maybe i should consider flying to see them...

Really dont want to waste anymore time as i have spent the last 10 years dishing out money for "fibromylagia" doing every treatment under the sun, dont want to run around wasting more time, i want to get better my life is difficult enough, ready to find the right doc!

please private message me with any suggestions, i have a hard time doing research ( the lyme is really bad) to find one.

You are allowed to post the first initial of the doctor in question. (and the state, not the city)

I'll send you some info.

You could try asking the doctor's office whether they have any recovered patients to whom they would be willing to pass on your contact information, to leave it up to them if they wish to contact you as a reference for the doctor.

I am not sure if doctors would or are allowed to do that, but you wouldn't be asking them to disclose anything to you so it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Recovered patients may just want to be private and forget about Lyme, but they may be so overjoyed that their wonderful doctor got them well that they are eager to share that with other new patients.

You can also contact support groups, attend meetings if they are close enough, get to know others in your area. Gather info that way.

But if yours is a longrunning case, then you might ought to be aiming for improvement, rather than cure.

Lenire,
I didn't know who you were when I received your e-mail. I just now stumbled upon this post that I'd previously responded to.

I'm more than happy to answer questions.
