Checking the authors, find that this study was done at a university in Spain.
Is there a big difference in the presentation of Bartonella if acquired from actually felines or from ticks?

Not sure anyone can answer that for sure?
I know personally I've not seen anything that would say there was a difference.
That isn't "official" like if the CDC said it, but then when was the last time they were right about anything Lyme?

Oh, and the reason I say maybe no one would know is because those who study animals/ticks and/or work in labs typically don't see patients to make a comparison.
Since the IDSA/CDC/Hopkins still won't admit Bartonella can be transmitted by ticks, not much funding in that area also.

And some of us, like me, have Bartonella, surely BOTH from cats AND ticks. Grrrr. Had multiple sick, stray cats in my younger years, plus. uncountable, known tick bites.
But, you're right Lymetoo, no research for tick-borne Bart, as the powers that be don't think it exists.
