Another week of getting busy!

Anything counts for exercise on this thread!

Canning, gardening, vacuuming, painting, yard work, kayaking, hiking, walking, swimming, running, etc.

Let's go.............

[woohoo]

Ak--thanks for getting us started this week.

We all need to move to vote this week, if you haven't already! [Smile]

Doing laundry today.

Raining with 30 mph winds. Glad I got outside yesterday as this weather is supposed to last a few days.

I bought a steam vac and I have been cleaning all day. I was afraid they would make the floors too wet but this one doesn’t. I put 13 oz in and it uses the water but it’s so hot it evaporates and I just have to dump out the dirt and wash the canister and filter. It looks like a hepa filter but I forget if it really is. After I vac and mop now I always see stuff. I can’t get down on hands and knees anymore like I used to. I’m tired and my back hurts a little but I did more than half of house. I can do two more rooms tomorrow. The last two will take awhile. One is store room now with too much in it. The other I will be removing carpet soon

It was a nice day but I just worked and rested inside. My neighbor with adhd is walkingbetta agin. I love it. It’s so good for Etta. But the neighbor often starts stuff and then stops. I can pretty much tell when she’s in gif her meds. But we will enjoy the walks while we have them

I’m going to vote early this time. Probablyb9. After the rush of ppl who go to work. I usually go at 1 but we have bad storms coming thru in afternoon. I live a half mile from polling place and almost always get the handicap parking spot. I’m taking the walker in case there is a line. Hope it all goes smoothly

Well, after riding in the car for about 4 hours and hauling 2 cases of coconut water and groceries yesterday, I'm out of commission. My SI joint that hasn't bothered me for years is killing me! So I have to resort to pain pills and muscle relaxers which will flare my MCAD.

Oh great......

Voted early this year Hiker but plan on taking my Mom on Tuesday.

I'm really getting behind in my housework now Kayak. Our house is mostly carpet so we have it cleaned. It has hardwood floors underneath but in the 60's and 70's everyone wanted carpet. How did we live with shag carpeting back then?

Waiting for my pills to kick in and google self help for stuck SI joints again.

[Frown]

Sorry to hear about the pain, AK! I simply can't do pain pills .. so I just suffer. Don't forget about curcumin. It saves my life!

I'm going to vote too .. but sounds like you guys won't like how I vote! [Big Grin]

I was able to go to the first night of the Christmas show. They start them early here and then all the shows end by the second week in December.

It was really good .. and very pretty!

Tutu--Vote as you wish, of course. I often split between Republicans and Democrats. I look at the candidate rather than the party.

Chilly rain here. I did errands most of the day.

Bought a new leaf blower. They gave me the battery for free and I already have another battery and the charger, so I can run that baby for a long time. [Big Grin]

Grabbed gas for the snowblower and a quart of oil to put in the trunk of the car. I always keep oil, antifreeze, jumper cables etc.

Went to store to get produce and then to recycling.

Went to library.

I am going tonight to a Medicare meeting with a friend. I am years away, but she wanted me to go with her, so I will go.

Put in a call to the plumber. Shower head leaks, kitchen faucet leaks, toilet has issues etc. etc. I let them all add up so I only have to pay his come to my house fee once.

Been tryinig to get ahold of my parent's MD or her nurse. No luck.

Good job on the leaf blower .. always be prepared as they say!

I ran a bunch of errands today. I went to the library thrift shop to donate items and they were closed. I left them near the inside door. My hip is still bad and it was an effort to even get there. Sheesh. (they have a lobby area)

It's been rainy and cloudy but not that cold. Will be colder later this week.

Hoping not to have to stand in line forever to vote tomorrow. I have my walker with a chair seat but I'm too young for that. LOL

Finally found a pair of shorts for physical therapy tomorrow. They have to work on my leg. I had to buy men's shorts. [Big Grin] We don't have shorts here in November and I don't WEAR them any time of the year!!

Guess what? I went to Target and found 7 T-shirts and 3 corduroy ball caps for $17 .. with tax. Moving on to next year's OCC! [Smile]

Thank goodness we have a storage room at church!

Stayed in bed all day. Less pain laying flat.

I tried either curcumin or turmeric before TuTu and it hurt my stomach. I was surprised because I can take just about anything. Way to go on early shopping for OCC next year!

I have a new yard toy too Hiker! Can't wait to see how it works. I have to buy a 100 feet extention cord first.

Hoping it's not to busy at the polls tomorrow for Mom!

Night all!

[hi]

Turmeric eats my stomach.

Try NOW brand curcumin. Take with food.

VOTED.

Hope your pain eases up. I'm off to be tortured at physical therapy.

Whew. Voted. Did last bank thing. Got groceries. And picked up special shoes to show new foot doc. I hope they are right but I can return if not The polls were busy and organized and calm. I was a bit concerned. A lot of guns and drugs around here. But I felt fine when I was there

Then at the bank some guy started getting really loud and angry about how stupid all the ppl were that didn’t vote the way he did. That was uncomfortable and I got out as soon as I could.

I’m glad I’m hunkered down at home. I ate a pint of ice cream. Haven’t done that in awhile. A long while. Then Etta had a coughing fit and refused her special cough meds but she stopped coughing when I massaged her throat

I hope everyone is ok and safe today. Prayers that the right thing happens.

I voted early last week.

Went to chiropractor this morning. He put me on Pyloricil for my stomach. Said to take 1/2 capsule and mix with apple sauce. Obviously he has never tasted it.

Since I have capsules for making my own concoctions, I got those out and opened the pyloricil capsules and split them among the empty capsules.

40 mph winds again today, so walked 25 minutes inside at the rec center.

Plumber cancelled on me today. Hope he comes tomorrow afteroon along with furnace technician.

Called parent's MD and had long talk. Very helpful.

Lp--sounds like you did quite a bit today.

Tutu--Torture? Nooo!

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

Yeah .. and it's now even more torture. Spasms everywhere.

Ak--How is your SI joint?

Walked 25 minutes this afternoon. Sunny but cool.

Ran errands this morning--grocery to get organic meat and some items my mom wants (she, of course, wants chocolate and Kroger had a good sale).

Bought waterproof spray for my boots and shoes. Snow coming tomorrow night and again next week.

So, I also soaped the snow shovels, so snow will slide off easily. Filled bird feeders.

Laundered sheets and found down comforter. Getting down to 25 tonight.

Furnace technician came for yearly check. All ok.

Plumber came and he could not figure out why the shower head drips, but not the faucet. Decided it was nothing to worry about.

Am mad at myself because I let him fix leaky faucet that needed new "O" rings and I could have done that myself. He also drained water heater to keep sediment from building up and I could do that myself.

Think I am getting lazy. Of course what took him 5 minutes would have taken me an hour and one or more trips to the hardware store.

Off to read a bit.

Thankfully, I'm not in as much pain as yesterday. Yesterday was pretty horrible.

Thought I lost my debit card. Finally found it in my wallet while ON THE WAY TO THE BANK!! Whew! It was put in a different slot. OOPS.

They are ready to do our floor, but we still have to meet with our adjuster about the ceiling and how bad it looks. He was going to come today but his daughter was sick. So, tomorrow it is.

I wish we could just snap our fingers and the floors would be done.

They spent about 5-6 hours putting in new carpet upstairs. It was pretty noisy and I could smell the dust. Our friends above them were in charge since the ones upstairs are in CO. So they opened the windows there this afternoon.

My faucet still leaks, but only when the handle is fully down. I have to put the handle in a certain spot for it not to leak.

Called the plumber to come back tomorrow, because that just isn't right. Will have to leave Bible study early to meet him.

GRRR... [cussing]

Sorry guys got caught up in the midterm elections.

Still not exercising but SI joint is getting better. Doing some stretches I found online to unlock the joints.

Not been feeling to great lately. Problems with my blood sugar bottoming out.

And my pelvic prolapse issue is bothering me.

Oh, I did squeeze in a lecture at the museum today in regards to southwest art and film. Dr talked about old western movies and tv shows and how they correlated their film scenes with artists renditions. I enjoyed myself immensely!

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow!

[hi]

AK--Sorry you are not feeling great. Hope that changes soon. Museum lecture sounds fun!

Bible study this morning. Left early to meet the plumber. He sanded ball of faucet and it didn't seem to drip. So, he left. Then it started dripping.

Called him and he came back with a new ball and installed it. Still drips a tiny bit, so he said he would find a Delta aerator as mine is cheap one from ACE Hardware and that might help. He will drop it off tomorrow.

He said new Delta faucets don't hold up well, so he really didn't want to have to replace it. He did not charge me at all for today's work, since he didn't get it fixed yesterday.

Went to close grocery store and for second week in a row they didn't get their produce truck in. Slim pickings, but I wanted to get the shopping done as it may be a bit icy tomorrow. 1-2 inches of snow expected overnight, but probably won't stick to roads much.

Walked 24 minutes this afternoon.

Passed by a man mowing his yard and he was in shorts and a t-shirt. 38 degrees out. Brr. I had on a winter jacket, cap, and gloves. LOL

Sent off my $16 to join AARP. Then I am going to take a defensive driving class online and lower my car insurance cost a little bit.

Not much of anything today just a meeting and visiting with a friend.

You've been busy Hiker! Figures your faucet would start leaking after the plumber leaves! Kudos on the 24 and joining AARP and taking defensive driving.

Well, time to veg!

[hi]

Walked at the rec center 30 minutes this afternoon.

Have snow here and blustery winds. Getting into teens tonight and then add the wind chill. Brr.

Made cranberry sauce today--feels like Thanksgiving when I do that.

Odds and ends around the house. Going to be a couch potato tonight. [Wink]

Lp--how are you doing?

Just one load of laundry today. Shopped for a few tops to wear to the gym and went out to dinner with a friend.

I did sign up for a 2 hour Zumba dance-a-thon for cancer next Saturday. Hope my SI's and other various parts hold up!

You're killing it with the exercise Hiker! I'm gonna give the gym a shot next week.

See everyone tomorrow!

Very lazy day.

Had energy healing yesterday. Still have H. pylori. She worked on killing more of the bacteria as well helping my body systems reset.

I am totally wiped out, so my only exercise was to cook and to walk down the drive to the mailbox.

Took a nap.

Very toxic.

Sounds like we are all ailing.

Went to PT on Friday. Had a different therapist. She was amazing. She massaged every thing that needed it. Felt great for about 30 min and then it all started tightening up again.

Overall, I think it is better. I need to keep doing exercises. OH wait, I've only done them once at home so far. HA! Had to get the pain level down first .. my opinion. lol

Went to choir this morning and then to a new place for lunch. It was packed. Very good food .. too many people. We are pretty much at the height of our tourist season right now.

The trees this year were OUTSTANDING. You would have thought we were in New Hampshire or something!

I couldn't get as many pictures as I would have liked. It was cloudy on the days the trees were the most amazing. Took pictures anyway, but they would have been SO much better in the sunshine.

Cold today.

I’m alive. I never get everything done that I should be n a day. I don’t remember what you know and dont know.

I went to new podiatrist. I liked her. Very professional. She cut my toe nails. All the others refuse cuz I don’t have diabetes. It’s my hand at thritis that stops me. But insurance won’t cover it unless you have diabetes

She measured mybfere and said one was half inch longer not 1/8 in longer.
3 docs. 3 different measurements. They had a pair of sneakers that fit and I could get on...stretchy laces. So they are ordered. I have to pick them up next week and take to cobbler. I sure hope this works

Today early I drove to beach to buy my special bread. The waves were bigger than I have ever seen. I ll post pics on our text thing

I put a few things away for winter. It’s snowingbup north. But there is still more to do. I get so tired so fast now.

I am cloiecting plumbing problems like you hiker.

I’m really tired. I ll post pics tomorrow. Nite
