Starting off another week of exercise! Cycling, weight lifting, walking, running, yoga, yard work, house work, etc., just about anything goes for exercise on this thread!

On your mark...get set...go!

[woohoo]

AK--Thanks for getting us started this week.

Walked 25 minutes. Decided to forgo shoulder exercises for a few days to see shoulder improves or until I see a MD.

Three loads of laundry down and one to go.

Had to mend my flannel sheets which were coming apart at the seam. Thread doesn't match but only I will know that in my dreams.

Went to recycling.

Have a great week, everyone! [group hug]

I was in bed most of day. 3 rd day of severe head and neck pain. Upper back too. Like spasms. Feels very much like Lyme. I’m doubling my doxy for awhile. Sure does remind me of Lyme. I took Etta for quick trip to beach and managed a 20 min walk. She was so funny running in circles to get exercise cuz I’m so slow. She was very happy.

I have continued to clean up Christmas stuff and move furniture around. That has kept both arms and shoulders and only one has arthritis dx

Very cold and windy here now. Storms scheduled for my pt days. Off to a slow start

Winter won’t last forever. I’m happy daylight is increasing

No real exercise today but still doing my pelvic floor strengthening. On weight number 5 and just one more to go. Might try to do some very gentle overall body exercising while using the pelvic weight.

Day number 3 of juice/tea/broth fasting under my belt and it was a tad easier today.

We still had our usual Sunday dinner but I had organic veggie broth. I just reheated some chicken nuggets and sauteed some veggies for Mom and Josh. My Mom made the rice. So an easy dinner.

25 minutes is great Hiker! Take care of that shoulder! I'd definitely cut back on the exercise.

It was 70° here Kayak. I'm still waiting for winter. This is some crazy warm weather! Sure hope you get to feeling better!

Night gang!

Slept in today. Totally lazy.

I do have an appointment with orthopedic MD tomorrow about my shoulder. My friend insisted upon taking me--in case I have to come home in a sling. [Eek!]

I think it is just a bad case of tendonitis or bursitis, but will see what he says.

Lp--sorry you are not feeling well. You seem to be getting a lot done, however.

I did less today. I felt bad for Etta she got stir crazy. And we have snow sleet and rain coming for 2 days. So I drove to beach and parked and sat in car while she explored. Then I moved car forward 2x and let her explore again. She was so funny. She got so much energy out in such a small space. I wanted to drive and let her walk like I used to do with kris. But I couldn’t coordinate it. It’s my left shoulder that is bad so I couldn’t hold the leash out the window like I used to

I still don’t know what kind of sick I am. Very weak. Feverish. Don’t want to eat. Or move much.

I paid a few bills online but had a real hard time. I think it’s my eyes.

Hope you get some answers hiker

A k you guys are all so much better than me with exercise. I have not been doing my Pt exercises. I do get the scar massage done 2x a day.

I feel like everything is piling up. But I’m trying to calm down about it. I hope this is a few day s of being sick. Not 6 weeks

Best of luck to you Hiker on your shoulder!

I've been a slug today, just pelvic floor exercises and a few chores.

I'm tired and heading to bed gang. Night!

[sleepy]

Oh. And I’m not sure if I told you. The shoes never worked. So I have to drive an hour 2 more times to get the one shoe half as high. I think that will work. 3 docs measured wrong. So much incompetence. Waste of time and money

Went to orthopedist today. Definitely have issues with my rotator cuff.

MD thinks it is just inflamed tendonitis with bursitis but wouldn't rule out a tear.

I am going to do PT for 6 weeks and then go back and see him again. If no improvement I will have MRI done to make sure there is no tear.

So, no exercise today.

Hi gang! I actually vacuumed the house and cleaned the bathroom and kitchen floors today. Then took Mom to a doctor's appt and did a small bit of grocery shopping.

So looks like I'm getting use to my juice/tea/broth fast. Day 5 under the belt.

See everyone tomorrow!

Can't believe they screwed up your shoes Kayak! Idiots! Also I sure hope you find out what's going on healthwise!

I tore my right rotator cuff in the nineties Hiker. It was a small tear and PT fixed it! Good luck!

lp--Sorry you have to go back to get your shoes corrected. MD's who can't measure should be paying for this.

Ak--My house needs cleaning, but I am not vacuuming with my shoulder. Not sure how I will shovel the snow this weekend.

Went to physical therapy. Therapist was very kind and good. Gave me 4 exercises to do twice a day and I am sure he will add on more next week.

I do twice a week for 3 weeks, so at least 6 more sessions.

So, came home and did the exercises. Am hurting now but expected that. Off to think about dinner.

Seems like everyday more slop in drive. I might be losing days. But I know today I went out 2x to shovel. Second time I had to chop and dig to find sewer. It was covered with leaves and ice and water was backing up in drive. I did as much as I could. Hope it’s enough the backyard is half covered with 6-8” Of water. It’s still ten feet Friday m house but it makes me nervous. It’s supposed to get real cold for a week but I have never liked ice skating

I hope you have better docs than me hiker. First one ordered PT and I got worse and worse. Second ortho said it was osteo arthritis from simple X-ray. It’s a hard surgery and the 2x I scheduled it it was postponed cuz they found the breast cancer. So it still hurts.

2 of my siblings had rotator cuff surgery. It worked for one. The other took a yr to get better and lots of problems but I think it’s ok now. I hope Pt works for you

A k good for you with the exercise and fasting. I’ve been eating light with soft foods since Christmas but I’m not losing any weight.

I talked to my home owners insurance company about the trees from empty lot coming over my land. And she told me best way to handle it. A tree professional is coming Monday to give professional opinion in writing and hopefully the neighbor will trim trees. I also found out my Ins is only going up 17.00 a month with all the repairs I did. So that is a relief.

Well I think I will sleep again. Good luck with PT hiker!

LP--Insurance going up? It should not go up $17 a month. That is a lot. My home insurance never went up when I did repairs.

Just pelvic floor routine today. Had to take my Mom for bloodwork this morning then ran a couple of errands. Afterwards came home and cooked creamed chicken and biscuits for dinner for Mom and Josh.

Day 6, check!

Good luck Hiker with your shoulder therapy and be careful of your form. I wouldn't shovel snow or vacuum unless you can use your good arm.

No ice skating please Kayak! Oh...I thought you had shoulder surgery too. Speaking of trees, are the neighbors trees dead or diseased? They would be liable for damage if they fell on your property.

Well, off to read and get some sleep.

Hiker I did more than repairs. Added 20k in value.

I want creamed chic and biscuits for supper

Just got back from pt. It hurts when she works on scar. But then it doesn’t bother me so much the next week. She put special bandages on me to help water drain. I think she’s pretty good

I walked Etta on road when I got home but I am back I bed now. She’s looking at her boyfriend out the window

I guess I have to sleep. Too tired to type

Etta has boyfriend? What does he look like?

Slept poorly last night due to shoulder.

Did my 2 rounds of therapy for shoulder today.

Walked 24 minutes. Chilly but no wind.

Went to get organic meat, postage stamps (they go up in price on Jan 27th), to the bank, and gassed up the car.

Expecting up to 7 inches of snow this weekend. My neighbor kindly said he would clear my drive. If snow is fluffy he will use my snow blower. If it is heavy, he has a monster snow blower.

Off to do the crossword puzzle in the newspaper.

Up super early and finished up paperwork to the mortgage company and headed to the PO to priorty mail it. Then went to my clinic to get a refill on my BP med.

Took Mom to have her hearing aids cleaned and inspected then off to the military base to get her meds.

Day 7 under my belt!

Wonderful that you have a great therapist who's helping you Kayak! Would love to make you creamed chicken and biscuits! Josh said they were delicious and took home the leftovers.

Way to go on the 24 Hiker! How'd the therapy go? Me and my sister used to buy The Globe (bootleg Enquirer) just for the giant crossword puzzle!

Just goofing off for the rest of the evening.

See everyone tomorrow!

Ak--I don't know how you survive on your fasting plan. Kudos to you.

Ran errands this morning. Grocery, library, Dollar General.

Did my 2 rounds of PT exercises.

Walked 28 minutes. With the winter storm warning now in effect, I figure it will be quite a while before I get to walk outside again. No one clears the sidewalks in the neighborhoods.

Hope Tutu avoids the bad weather. We are not expecting 8 inches of heavy snow.

Am grilling organic bison burgers for dinner with asparagus and a salad. Listening to recorded piano music (David Lanz) as I dine.

BFF may came over tonight if she is not too tired from work.

Up at 6:00 knocked out pelvic floor exercises then did paperwork for Mom and ran a couple errands.

Now it's veg time!

Way to go on the 28 Hiker! Your dinner sounds awesome! Do you grill your asparagus too? I'm debating on going out tomorrow night for the first astronomy night viewing the stars at our local science center. Missed a visiting author at the library today, rats!

See everyone tomorrow!

My doc gave me long term nystatin for as long as I am on doxy for eyes(probably forever)

And he told me i could have as much muscle relaxant as I need. I started crying when I told him it hurt too much to let Etta cuddle with me. It’s cuz I’m so inflamed in all the fibro spots. And her feet hurt so bad when she steps on them

I got home and fell asleep. But then I took Etta for a ride in car. It’s way too cold to go out. We picked up my meds and I noticed a shed for sale that matches my house for half of what I planned to spend. So I guess I should buy it quick tomorrow. There’s so little snow they will even set it up now in winter. That isn’t possible very often.

But not much walking or cleaningborvanythingbforbme. I worked on my scar 2x but didn’t do pt exercises like I’m supposed to. I realize the day after pt I am quite sore under arms but I assume that is good. Lymph unclogging.

I haven’t talked to tutu at all. Hope she is having a good time. Hope you guys don’t have too bad s time with the storms.

I’m a little worried about maddog. Not sure what the plan is.

We have about 8-9 inches of snow here and it is still falling.

My kind neighbor used his big snowblower to do my drive and walk. The snow is heavy. I followed behind and scraped up the remains.

He also took my long squeegee and cleaned the TV satellite dish that sits on the garage so I have reception.

One the plow comes by we will have to shovel the end of the drive again.

Snow is pretty but I am not a big fan.

I did my two rounds of shoulder exercises today.

May watch some football and read.

Not going to try and go anywhere in my little car today or tomorrow. Suspect church will be cancelled tomorrow. We have an interim pastor who drives about an hour and we have a small parking lot that only holds about 10 cars.

Ak--I just steam my asparagus. I have a Hamilton Beach Grill that you plug in on the counter top.

Since there is a parking ban on the streets, there is nowhere for a lot of us to park at church.

Lp-Glad the MD could help you. I bet your PT exercises would help move the lymph, too.

Waited around for HVAC guy to check out black stuff coming out of vents. He didn't show but that's ok because he's very, very reasonable and related to my brother's wife.

Picked up my meds and bought some smaller clothes at Goodwill. Found 2 turtlenecks and 1 jeans. I don't want to spend a lot of money since I still have more weight to loss.

I went to the first astronomy night of the year at our local space science center. To overcast for viewing but enjoyed the planetarium constellations talk and checking out the awesome telescope and impromptu lecture from the astronomer.

Hope you get the shed Kayak. I'd love to have a lymph massage! Also I'm kinda worried about Maddog too.

That's a lot of snow Hiker! It is pretty but I sure don't miss the shovelling!

Well guess I'll go make a cup of tea and unwind.
