Motion: power, movement, kinetics, locomotion

Come tell us about your exercise: Shoveling, walking, vacuuming, etc.

AK-- I am impressed that you are already buying smaller clothes after such a short time of your new regimen.

My neighbor helped me clean the drive again today. Several more inches of snow overnight and snow plow dumped a bunch in front of driveway.

I overdid it, though, trying to shovel some. Neck and shoulder are paying.

Did 2 rounds of PT exercises for shoulder.

Made a meatloaf and then bake a chicken breast.

Enjoyed scrambled eggs, bacon, and gluten free English muffin with maple pecan butter. What a lunch treat.

Off to read and watch some football.

I forgot it’s sunday. I have to go back and read. Tv showed scary stuff south and west of me. Sounds like you guys are ok. I hope my youngest is. She goes from MD to D C for work. Her hubs drives from MD to V A everyday he works in office. But they send him lots of plac s. But sounds like they will get it the worst. I have ppl in NJ andvNY too and CT

I’m enjoying a break from precip but it is very cold

Today I worked on taxes for awhile. Just collecting stuff. L

Then I went out and cleared 10’ of plow snow because if we don’t get any snow I might not have to wait for spring to get my new shed. That is as exercise

Well. AK. I am jealous of you losing weight. I feel like I’m getting bigger. But doc says I weigh less. Idk. Wierd

My pt is painful. But I think it might be helping. I know I feel very sore for 48 hrs after she works on me. But I’m starting to notice some parts are not swollen. Like wrists and ankles

Ok. I ll go read. Also hope there is good news about maddog

I forgot it was Sunday too! Thanks Hiker for getting us going this week!

Started my pelvic floor exercises today with the last of the six weights. My muscles are stronger but am still careful of not getting constipated and no core exercises.

Been a long road to recovery that's for sure!

Washed my Goodwill purchases, juiced and made brunch for Mom. Made dinner tonight of steak, corn on the cob and red potato wedges for Mom and Josh.

Day 10 under my belt.

Hiker-I know, smaller clothes already?! I've lost 10 pounds but still have 25 more to go. Really trying to turn my health around this year. Your forays into cooking sound delicious! Question.....what is maple pecan butter?

Kayak-Glad you're feeling better. My weight loss was fear driven to begin with so I don't have to take Statins. Now though the fasting has been an unexpected blessing bringing me inner calm and insight.

Well, I'm tired and I even took an hour nap today! Usually never happens but I'm sleeping more.

Night gang!

[sleepy]

Ak--Check our Tierra Farm https://tierrafarm.com/
Maple pecan butter is organic nut butter. My brother gave it to me for Christmas. A real luxury.

Their chocolate hazelnut butter sounds decandent but pricey.

Am at my folks today. Energy healer tomorrow in their town.

Supposed to get freezing drizzle tomorrow and I am praying that does not happen as I need to come home for physical therapy at clinic in my town.

Did my 2 rounds of PT for shoulder.

Hi guys. So still no tutu? I should text her. I’m working on lists everyday. Need to nap multiple times and fall into not bed for 10 or more hours every night.

I’m not sure what’s wrong. Maybe dealing with toxins from lymph massage

Today the tree guy came. He was supposed to email me a letter about dangers of trees falling on my house. And I have to include it in a certified letter to the owner. And if they ignor irvrefuse they will be held responsible. My ins will have copies and handle all when it happens.

So I’m one step at a time

It was sunny so I was able to stay out about half hour and stake where new shed will go. I think it will be 8x14 or 16

I rested and then took Etta to store and bought 6 groceries. Impt ones. And she had an outing.

Then more couchbtime for me. I have such a long ngblist.

Th $ from the loan is finally in my account. It took them 3 weeks and I was changed an extra 80.00 in interest that wouldn’t have been charged if they paid it off when theybwere supposed to. Stupid robot!

Well good for you AK! I keep getting fatter and fatter. But I have no desire to juice or fast. I eat reasonable amount of healthiest food I can find. And I eat enough so I don’t pass out

I m tired of being tired but not sure what’s wrong so not sure how to fix. I’m having another ovary ultrasound. It’s been 6 months since I was told it had gotten bigger

I need a bone scan but I think they will insist on dye and that scares me

Hope you have a good visit with parents hiker. And goodvappt. And safe drive home.

We have 2 storms headed this way but one might miss us and the other sounds like same slushy mess we already had 3 times

Hang in everyone. Spring will get here eventually.

Pelvic floor routine and errand running today. Been vegging the rest of the day.

Hiker-Thanks for the link, they have good stuff there. Careful driving home!

Kayak-Thank goodness the tree issue is resolved. Also that sounds like a good sized shed.

Night gang!

Pt exercises.

Spent time with my parents.

Went to energy healer. Said my right shoulder looked very "red" (inflammation) and my left knee looked just as bad. Argh!

Drove the 70 miles home. No ice until I reached my front porch. Got out the ice melt.

Pelvic floor routine, juiced and made my Mom a leftover steak (ground) and potato pancake.

Then we went to an indoor flea market and shopped around for a couple of hours. I bought a pair of Harley Davidson jeans (didn't know they made them) and a pink 3/4 sleeve t-shirt. Mom found a sweater and a set of 2 Asian inspired blue and white leaf shaped plates.

All in all a good treasure hunt.

Hiker-How'd the energy healer session go? Any relief for your shoulder? Glad you made it home on safe roads. Stay warm!

Well, off to finish watching Chopped with Mom.

Tutu--Happy Birthday!! Have a special day. [group hug] [woohoo] [kiss]

Very icy here this morning, so had to wait until it warmed up to get out.

Went to physical therapy. Lots of stretching. Shoulder really hurts, but I know it was good for me.

Stopped at library and then dashed into grocery to make use of a coupon before it expired.

Expecting freezing rain tonight and tomorrow morning. Then a lot of snow coming this weekend and next week.

Off to do my PT exercises one more time.

Thanks, hiker!!

We made it home a little after 4 pm today!

I'll be back later .. washing clothes.

Happy birthday tutu. Glad to know you are home safe. I have no idea how your trip was. Hope you post a summary when you can

My brain is so confused talking to guys about taking down trees and putting up shed. If we really get over a foot of snow Sunday everything might be put on hold. And my plow guy is house bound not allowed to drive.

I just keep plugging along. The loan money is finally where it belongs. So I can send the kids their Christmas money.

And I’m organizingbhouse and bills as much as I can.

I have Netflix and cbs all access and just added Hulu. Way more than I need but less than half of what I paid for 15 channels on dish. And I’m seeing some good movies

Nice that you had a fun outing with your mom a k. Enjoy your treasures!

Did my 2 rounds of PT exercises. All the stretching the therapist tortured me with yesterday really helped. Go back tomorrow.

Went grocery shopping.

My WiFi is down. Company sending tech tomorrow between 8 and noon. Hope it is early as I have to get to PT by 12:30. That is the only time the techs have tomorrow that might fit. The 1-5 time slot won’t work. Wish they would commit to a definite time instead of a 4 hour range.

Heading to chiropractor.

Haven’t walked in a week. Been focusing on shoulder and too much snow and ice anyway. Miss my walks.

Have a great day!

Took Mom's car to get the headlights restored. They're nice and clear now, no oxidation. Then we went grocery shopping.

I actually went to the gym today! 20 minutes on the recumbent bike and 20 in the sauna.

Day 14 under my belt.

TuTu-Wishing you a happy belated BDay here on our thread!

Kayak-I love Netflix and Amazon Prime. Great movie choices.

Hiker-So glad your therapy is helping. Sounds like you might get snowed in with the ice. Be careful!

See everyone tomorrow!

I think I got caught up with everyone.

Sounds like a lot of snow, hiker! And LP is getting more soon?

AK .. Good job on the weight loss. I wish I could find more foods to eat. Then I wouldn't be grabbing for the bad stuff.

Hubby went out and bought me a TV this morning for my birthday. I was using a 17" and now have a 32" .. It seems so huge!

We are supposed to get some snow on Saturday, but I don't think it will be much. I hope it won't because one of my OCC team members passed away and her memorial service is Saturday afternoon.

She was dxd with cancer about 6-8 months ago. She had it just about everywhere. She has hung on as long as she could. She was there at our Christmas Eve service but I could see the pain on her family's faces.

She was also able to attend our packing party in early November. She looked pretty miserable but I know it gave her great joy to be there. She was a sweet woman who loved children and animals. Very sad loss for everyone.

Tutu--What fun to have a new T.V. Mine is pretty small.

Internet company tech came today and fixed WiFi. I have broadband DSL that runs through my landline phone jacks. Apparently the outside underground cable is toast.

She laid a cable on top of the ground and on my fence, hopefully to last until spring when they can come bury it. Got a new modem as well. No charge.

Went to physical therapy. Therapist was pleased with my progress but it was a torturous session.

Going to reward myself with a gluten free pizza from Monicals. Still have a gift card from last year.

Bracing for the blizzard. Up to 7 inches of snow, but the winds will be over 40 mph. Starts later tonight and goes through tomorrow. Yech!

Tutu--Sorry to hear about your OCC team member. Sounds like she had joy and gave joy.

Have a great evening.

Glad to hear that you got the Wifi fixed and are back in business!

Sounds like way too much snow and wind!!

We are still waiting to see how much snow we get, if any. Should be less than an inch. Just worried about the icing that may occur on these hills.

Our trip to TX was not as fun as usual since my father in law passed away. We stayed at my brother's house for nearly 10 days. I think I need to send an apology! [Big Grin]

It was really my nephew's "fault" because he was going to meet us for lunch on Monday and that got changed to Friday.

Anyway, we got to see his new business location. It was mind-blowing. I didn't know his business was so large. He installs and services HVAC units in Houston.

He has 65 employees and 45 working crews in the field .. so about 90 contract workers. [Eek!] He is doing such a great job and you could tell that he loves his people and they love him.

We went south for awhile and attended the funeral of one of my father in law's cousins. She was a few days short of 102!! It was in hubby's home church, so that was nice.

Visited with a few friends here and there and then headed for home. So we were gone about 2 weeks total. The drive home was brutal.

Still recovering. Went to acupuncture today.

Took Mom for more bloodwork this morning and ran a couple of errands.

Then just vegged out for the rest of the day.

TuTu-Welcome home! Happy to hear you had a great vacay and returned home safely. Enjoy your BDay gift!

Hiker-Yay! Internet! That pizza sounds delish! I have to live vicariously through you so what kinda toppings do you like? I like bell peppers and mushrooms and sometimes I add a meat. Stay warm!

Well, off to watch Netflix. Getting up early to help Josh pickup this awesome 2nd hand Lazyboy couch that I nabbed for him for $200.

See you guys tomorrow!

AK--I like olives (black or green) and mushrooms on pizza. Sometimes I get the pepperoncinis, but haven't had spicy food since H. pylori 6 months ago.

This pizza with black olives was a test to see if my tummy could handle the tomatoes. It did fine.

We got less snow than predicted. Just 4-5 inches but the blowing is causing issues. Howard helped me clear the drive and sidewalk, but it is filling back again.

I am hoping the city does not plow my street as it will just turn to ice. Better traction if they do not plow.

But, I am sure they will plow and then I will need Howard to help me clear what lands in front of the driveway.

Did my PT exercises twice. Also did one load of laundry.

Relaxing the rest of the day.

Total lunar eclipse tomorrow night. Hoping it clears although it will be below zero.

Josh loves his couch that we picked up this morning! Thank goodness it wasn't to heavy and we both managed to get it into the house. We both wore back support belts!

Afterwards we vegged out, gabbed and watched TV most of the afternoon.

It's only 8:30 and I'm wiped out and going to bed.

Hiker-It's going to be in the 20's tomorrow night and I'm hoping to catch the eclipse too. Might drive to the science center to use the telescopes they'll have set up.

Night gang!

[sleepy]

Hey gang. We got a little snow today .. less than an inch, I would say. It's very icy out there, but we made it down our hill to attend my friend's funeral (at our church).

It was very nice, but very few people came due to the weather.

I packed a shoebox for her and her daughter put it on the casket with the flowers. It was so sweet. I put one of those green styrofoam things in the shoebox and put pink silk flowers in it.

Then I surrounded the flowers with shoebox items. It was really cute. She loved children and animals ... that was her passion.

We made it home up the icy hill.

Hiker .. I really didn't know that about not plowing. They didn't plow our church parking lot and it was really scary to get out of the car.

I made it fine, since hubby dropped me off at the door, but he parked around the back on the gravel lot and came in a back door. Neither one of us could figure out how some got out of their cars and just walked in. LOL

We are still Southerners!

AK .. the couch sounds like a real hit!

I'm watching AGT: The Champions. It's cool.
