Came across this interesting article on Alzheimers, it also mentions ALS. Just something to read, not Lyme related but since I believe Lyme is also a contributing factor to many of these cases figured I'd post the link here.
L-serine is a nonessential amino acid that is synthesized from glycine or theonine. It is involved in the biosynthesis of purines, pyrimidines, and other amino acids. L-serine plays a role in cell proliferation.
