This one runs on NBC. I do not watch it. Do you? A friend told me.

On a recent episode, and ER doc reporting to his superior was
very proud that he had diagnosed a patient with lyme disease.

The supervisor said he should have been able to do that faster as there are 300,000 people diagnosed with Lyme disease yearly.

No word of how the case was diagnosed. I sent the following to
NBC.

"On a recent episode, Lyme disease was mentioned. Glad to hear the 300,000 count of annual diagnoses of Lyme disease was pointed out.

However, it was made to seem that perhaps something simple as a blood test could be used.

A doctor should look for symptoms/ or a rash ( not always a bullseye!) and treat immediately.

Blood tests taken too early are not reliable, as antibodies do not show up that soon.

Patients should be treated immediately with antibiotics, preferably for 4 to 6 weeks."

It is on Tuesday nights, I think at 9:00 Central Time. It is a good show. You may want to watch it from the beginning On Demand so you know who is who.
