It's another week--are you ready to rock and roll, move and groove?

I am still at my folks. Snowy and windy and temperatures will be below zero tonight. I am not going to attempt to drive home today.

I am heading down to my car soon to clean it off, so it won't freeze solid tonight.

Have a super week! [Smile]

Sorry the weather is so bad, hiker. I imagine it's bad in the NE too.

We only got one inch of snow!!! Pitiful! I mean, if you're all geared up for it, it may as well snow a few inches!

It is currently 25 degrees and will be down to 3 degrees Monday night. That's the best we can do over here! LOL

Hiker .. my friend's car is a Grand Prix .. evidently, they are known for engine fires! She just bought a Camry Hybrid yesterday.

She didn't want to go into debt, but she must have a dependable car. She drives a lot .. and has an 8 yr old daughter that she shares custody of. She has to drive every weekend to meet her ex and hand off the kid.

Then she also comes here a lot. She came to show me her car yesterday. It's gorgeous! It's a 2014.

AK .. I'm so glad you got some REAL rest last night. I am still resting a lot. We did go for choir rehearsal on Saturday, but didn't have church today.

The snow began around the time they had to make the decision to cancel. We probably could have gone to the second service, but most in our congregation are elderly. They will NOT get out when it's bad.

Too many hills and curves here to add snow to the mix.

I need to get busy DOING something! Been just way to lazy over here.

Snowing here - the trees have beautiful white lacy coats on. It was above freezing so the roads were clear when we were out this afternoon.

The cleared space on the patio is now snow covered with the temperature dropping since the sun went down.

A cup of peppermint tea and a book to read - lovely way to relax on a Sunday evening!

Another day of rest, yay!

We had some bad weather here with tornadoes and thunderstorms. 2 tornadoes touched down, one 15-20 minutes behind the first one. Lots of damage and injuries. Not sure about deaths.

Tornadoes missed us but winds blew stuff off our porch. Me and Mom were nervous. Thankful we're OK.

Thanks for getting us going this week Hiker. Hope you enjoy the time with your folks!

Camry Hybrid sounds awesome TuTu! My 2006 Scion XA is still running like a champ, thank God! I'd like to get something newer once I go back to work.

Sounds like the perfect Sunday Manna! I miss snow! My friend texted pix yesterday of her and hubby in an ice cave and glacier in AK. Her hubs flew them there for the afternoon. So nice she shared it with me.

Off to watch the making of Free Solo on NatGeo!

Ak-Glad tornadoes missed you.

Mom was very sad today. She realizes she is forgetful. Today she called twice to get dad a ride for his end of the week appointment. Then she burst into tears when she realized what she had done. Made me very sad, too.

Saw energy healer. She confirmed that H. pylori infection is back. We decided to add manuka honey and black cumin oil to my regime. She is worried I won't tolerate the antibiotics.

Am back at my home now. Went to the natural food store to get the honey and oil and some S. bulaardi. Hope these help.

Will see surgeon tomorrow. I already know I am going to tell him that I can't have surgery now due to elbow. If my elbow can't handle my PT exercises it won't handle the rehab after shoulder surgery.

The pain is incredible and I can't take anything other than Tylenol due to my upset stomach.

So, I am feeling sorry for myself today. Very frustrated.

Off to make grilled salmon and asparagus on table top grill.

Manna...It's always nice to have snow on the trees and none on the roads!

Hiker .. That's sad about your mom. Tell her it's a part of the aging process and you love her anyway. (I'm sure you told her you love her!)

I wonder how you are going to get your elbow fixed? UGH!

AK .. Glad to hear that your Scion is still going strong. I enjoyed the XD we had.

We made our trip to the dentist today. I called ahead and asked them to please turn off their stupid oil diffuser. (They ran it last time and I sat out in the car while waiting for my husband to get his teeth cleaned.)

They had it turned off but I could still smell it. I used my inhaler and it was better. Then they hit me with a scented towel to put under my neck. That was a first for me. GAG.

He put it under my neck and I said WAIT! Then he took it away and put it in a plastic bag...then used it that way. Too late... stinky already.

I had to come home and clean my neck and change my clothes. My hair stinks too. So nice.

Long day for me, just got home after midnight. Stuff with ex and selling property. Had to go to his ATM for cash when it was convenient for him.

[cussing]

Made appointment for neck and back PT but therapist I like isn't available until April 3! Hope someone cancels so I can get in earlier.

Hiker that's very sad about your Mom! I bet she's scared too. Hope she'll be OK. Awful that H. Pylori has reared its ugly head again! I've heard great things about the nigella sativa that you're taking. Hope everything works out for your elbow and shoulder.

TuTu I remembered you had an XD. Those little Scions get great gas mileage and are super dependable. I might end up getting a newer one because they're priced right. Sheesh! I know what you mean about scents! I can't stand those oil diffusers that plug in! They're so strong! If I see them I try to unplug them everywhere I go without getting caught. I can't stand them!

Well waiting for my muscle relaxer to kick in so my neck unknots!

See you guys tomorrow!

Ak--I keep praying that property sells soon.

Saw Orthopedist today. He said the problem in the shoulder is not just the tear, but that the tendon is retracting from the humerus bone. He wants to do surgery as soon as possible.

However, after looking at my elbow again, he realized I can't do the shoulder rehab after surgery, so he said to come back in a month and we will see how it is, then.

I am pretty upset. I know this surgery has a difficult rehab. Ak--would you weigh in on this.

Also, I may have to go to assisted living or hire home health care help for awhile.

I did my shoulder stretches, lots of icing of the elbow.

Went to the library and made a meatloaf. Off to do the crossword.

AK .. Many in my MCS group throw them out too! I have thrown some out at our church. I have resistance from the secretary, so I had to give up and just throw them out. LOL. (she won't listen)

This diffuser is one of those huge things from Young Living or Doterra .. expensive. Can't ditch it for them. [Big Grin]

AK .. The Scions are no more. Maybe you need to keep yours as long as you can.

Hiker .. This is really bad news. I'm so sorry!! I will be praying hard. What a bad deal!!!

Did he say to continue stretches? Does magnesium affect tendons at all??

[Frown]

I went to Bible study at church, set up communion for tomorrow and then went to eat lunch.

Took a quick nap late this afternoon.

LP was not having a good day yesterday. Need to check on her.

Lymetoo, do real essential oils affect you also? Or is it just the chemical stuff?

My daughter loves to use candles or wax melts. Some of them are so chemical smelling that I complain about it or pop the lids on to put them out.

She has recently taken an interest in essential oils looking for healthy ways to make things smell good.

Another day of dealing with the ex and errands.

One highlight was attending another musical and animated art performance at the local planetarium. I went solo and had a glass of wine and cheese and crackers. Things I don't usually have but I threw caution to the wind.

Which reminds me, I need refills on my Auvi-Q pens (generic Epipen).

Hiker...oh boy! I sure wish I could come up there and help! My sister stayed with me for both of my shoulder surgeries. You won't be able to use the arm for quite some time. Forget wearing a bra! I wore my Dad's big button down shirts and stretchy pants for weeks. I was in a sling for weeks! Be very careful with rehab and do not push yourself at all. Do everything slowly and carefully. I'll give you a buzz.

TuTu I don't know why they stopped making Scions! The ones I look at are used at CarGurus.com. My ex just bought another truck to replace the one he wrecked. Sure makes me mad!

Hope LP is OK.

Off to read myself to sleep.

A relaxing day with just a couple of errands. Waiting to pick up my Mom from her BFF's.

I better enjoy it while I can!

Went to physical therapy. Therapist trying to talk me out of surgery--either not have it at all or wait wait wait until I can't stand the pain.

Am getting a second opinion from another orthopedist tomorrow. But all surgeons want to do surgery.

Did laser therapy.

Ordered some CBD oil and gel to see if it will help with pain. I will let you know when I get it.

Off to church tonight.

Can't go near ANY of the above. I used to SELL essential oils! So I am serious when I say I don't tolerate them. I gave all of them away when this hit me big time 5 years ago.

AK .. I went to Google to get the scoop .. I think the "Scion" is now available as the Toyota iM ?? If I understood correctly.

https://www.caranddriver.com/scion

Google Wikipedia for more info.

Glad you had a good day.

Hiker .. Keep us posted on the CBD oil and your shoulder which is "badly misbehaving."

We went to Ash Wednesday services and then to lunch. Hubby is now off to their second rehearsal for the new season.

They added another band member this year, so it should be a really great band!!

Pastor called me up in front of the church last night and parishioners laid hands on me for healing. So kind.

Did my shoulder exercises.

Went to get second opinion about shoulder and elbow. This doctor explained everything so well, but then said I could do the shoulder surgery even with severe elbow tendonitis. I don't think so. I will need that elbow for rehab.

So, am going to take my time and get the elbow in better shape and try to strengthen shoulder more after that.

My BFF said I couldn't have surgery until summer since she is a teacher and is off then to take care of me.

Snowing again--under winter weather advisory until midmorning tomorrow.

Went grocery shopping and to chiropractor.

Let the healing begin, hiker!! God can heal us!

Your BFF has a good point!

Hope the winter will be over soon for you guys!!

It was sunny this morning when I went for acupuncture, but when I got home it was misty and cold. It was in the 40's.

My car is ailing. Will get it checked out next week. I'm worried I may need a new car. The repairs on this one may be more than it's worth. Sigh.

I made GF cupcakes this evening. Wore myself out!

OH .. and I got my new glasses. They look quite a bit like my old ones but they are much more comfortable. I got the thin lenses and they are much lighter.

So .. See you guys tomorrow!

Been kinda run down lately. Might be the Tramadol, Flexeril and Motrin that I'm taking. Think MCAD is rearing it's ugly head. Need to get refills on my injections and I've been filling out that application today to send to my allergist. I'm on a manufacturer's assistance program which enables me to get these for free.

Took Mom to her GP appointment and her Potassium level is no longer high but low now. Also Mom got some codeine for her back pain and is going to the same therapist for her SI that I go to.

Hiker I think it's a good idea to wait and tend to the elbow first. Hope they can rehab it.

Thanks for the heads up TuTu about the Scion. Hey, didn't you mention the Million Dollar Quartet before? They're coming here in May. Glad you like your new glasses!

Off to read!

Went to PT. Got three new exercises that were really hard for me to do. Hoping they strengthen that shoulder, though.

Went to laser therapy.

Worked on Bible study.

I think my BFF is stopping by tonight. Looking forward to seeing her.

I got my CBD oil and balm today. May try it out before bed.

Rented a storage unit for the ex and will go tomorrow after me and Mom's luncheon to help him start packing up.

Wish I didn't have to but need to get him out of the trailer.

Picked up limbs and trash in the yard that accumulated after our bad bout of weather. Out there for about an hour and a half.

Had to take a muscle relaxer and pain pill and laying down.

How's the elbow Hiker? Hope those new exercises for your shoulder work out. Let us know about the CBD stuff!

Off to find something to watch on Netflix!

[hi]

AK .. The Million Dollar Quartet is like a franchised show. Whatever they call it. So you will see a great show, but most likely with different performers than we have here.

It's really awesome.

Stress will really make that MCAS flare up .. and those meds don't help. Sigh.

Hope you have a great evening, hiker!! Take care of those joints .. with a joint. Ha! Just kidding!! [Big Grin]

I ran a few errands today, vacuumed a bit and fixed dinner. Washed one load of clothes.

It's cool and foggy today. Storms tonight.

I haven’t been able to get on. Now I don’t know what to say. I guess I’m pretty sick with blood pressure but no one knows how to treat it. Some friends on mold and Lyme sites are helping me some. Docs say they can’t help if I react to all testing equipment and meds. Also the neighbors who are closest to me and know me longest are not friends anymore. So I’m more alone. I think tutu might have my sons number if I disappear and we can all text. I have 3 fb accts. I never know which one will pop up and idk how to get to the one I want.

LP... I hope they can get your BP down soon.

I saw your post on FB. You can try typing in your name in the search bar when you get to FB. That should bring up the right account.

If anyone is able to help you with that, I would suggest deleting all the extra FB accounts. I saw at least five of them.

(I found them by putting your name in the search bar.)

Take good care of yourself!

lp--Sorry to hear about high bp. Do you react to the blood pressure cuff? Not sure what other equipment they would use to check that.

Did my PT exercises today.

Tried the CBD balm for my shoulder and elbow last night. It did help instantly but didn't last the whole night through.

Will use it again tonight.

Some friends stopped by and Charlie changed my kitchen clock. I need a ladder to reach it.

Debbie put clean sheets on the bed for me. She insisted even though I can still do it. I didn't argue.

The drain where the hose from my washer dumps into is partially clogged and water is backing up and then spilling onto basement floor. I can't get it unclogged, so a drain company is coming on Tuesday.

Pouring rain and wind advisory in effect. My mom has called 3 times today to see if I can help with Dad's computer.

I keep telling her I can't come see them right now and I can't fix Dad's computer from here, especially since neither he nor she could seem to tell me exactly what is wrong with it other than he can't get to his email.

It always makes me upset when I can't help, but they don't reach out to anyone in the retirement home who might help them.

Rented the movie, Widows, from the library. Will watch it tonight.

Just got home a little while ago. With back brace on I helped ex clear out junk from the back porch and pump house and took that to the dump. Then loaded up one truck load of things for the storage unit.

So glad to be home!

If all things go according to plans he should be moved out by next Sunday.

Hiker that balm sounds like something I need to check out. How is the oil? Let me know how that movie is.

Kayak hang in there! Are you reacting to the BP meds? I take 5 mg a day of Amlodipine which is much better than the Toprol XR I used to take. Toprol made my pulse to slow. There's a breathing technique that lowers blood pressure temporarily. Check it out on google.

Sounds like you've been busy today TuTu! Thanks for the info on the quartet. Also I hope I get my injection refills soon. I don't see my stress and pain lessening any time soon.

Glad to see what everyone is doing today and feel much better just checking in.

[group hug]
