Here we go gang with another week of moving and grooving!

Housework, gardening, walking, running, skiing, etc., just about anything that get's you off the couch or out of the recliner counts as exercise on this friendly thread!

One....two....three....go!

[woohoo]

My BFF drove me to my folks today and my brother is here. He will drive me back tonight to my house.
Later--
Just got back from my folks. My brother and his wife and I spent most of the time working together on folk's finances.

We at snacks for dinner with a glass of wine and enjoyed company all around.

My brother and his wife drove me the hour back to my house. I really wish we lived closer.

Have a good week.

Sounds great, Hiker!!

Thanks for starting us off, AK!!

We did church and then had a nice lunch. Came home and took a nap. End of story! [Smile]

I went to physical therapy this morning. Very tough session and I had a hard time doing my exercises again at home this afternoon.

Sat outside and read. I wanted to take my shoes and socks off and ground them into the grass, but I was too afraid of ticks etc. to do so.

The last two energy healings she has said I have not been grounded. Maybe I will try it with my socks on at first (shoes off)

Did a small load of laundry.

We have had several sunny days in a row with temperatures in the 70's. Heavenly. [Cool]

Yesterday I went to the gym and did my 30 minutes on the treadmill and 12 minutes in the sauna. Also still doing my home PT and threw in some triceps and biceps light weight training.

I was released from PT yesterday but was still cautioned to maintain my exercises and to be careful with my back.

Today I'm going to the movies with Josh and then we'll probably pick something up for dinner.

You all are truly blessed to have such wonderful brothers! I wish my brother would come around more often. We live in the same town but rarely see each other. I'm planning on going to ATL around the end of this month for 3-4 days to help celebrate my friend's BDay and I'm a little nervous leaving my Mom.

I talked with Josh and he said he'd be happy to check on my Mom (his grandmother) and spend time with her.

I honestly don't know what I'd do without him!

Envious of your cooler weather guys! It's going to be around 95 degrees here today and it really feels like a sauna when I go outside. Ugh!

See you all later!

Sounds wonderful, AK! I know Josh will take good care of your mom!

Like I said back-channel, I have not seen one of my brothers in a long time. Thank goodness he is now on Facebook so we have a little more opportunity to connect.

Hiker .. I bet I am WAY NOT grounded! I can't even walk barefoot. I'm sure our grass here is sprayed with chemicals. Most of it is down the hill, so I don't suffer from it.

We haven't been doing much over here. There were job cuts at the theater last week, so hubby is on sabbatical until the other show starts up this fall.

He has a new three-wheeler bike (traded that dangerous two-wheeler!) and he's been out riding. Each bike brings new learning and he is getting older by the day. lol

I'm still working on the wedding. I will go out to order the cake today. It will be small, so no big deal there.

Then I need to sit down and see what else I need to cover.

We are headed to our dentist tomorrow .. I hope the rains let up some by then! It's sunny now, but I think we are due for more each day.

AK--Sounds like you don't need to go to the gym for a sauna. Step outside! [Big Grin]

Gayle--If I ever get married I think I will hire you as my wedding planner. Simple is good and beautiful. Hope your trip to dentist went well.

I did my shoulder and knee exercises.

Went to Kroger for organic meat. I am going to do this week and next week of premade food delivery and then cook every meal on my own again.

I needed help carrying in groceries today. The bagger did not pack the bags light. Nice neighbor helped while I played with her kids in my yard.

Worked a lot on my Bible study. It starts up again Thursday morning. I will need to get used to getting up earlier on those days, so I can to some PT before going.

I did sit outside in my bare socks and have them touch the grass. Don't know if that counts as grounding. Will ask energy healer. I put on my tick guards above the socks just in case. I might do that with my bare feet if I get brave.

Off to read.

Not a great day. Low grade fever with sinus congestion and cough again.

Threw off my balance. Went down the stairs on my rear end to get out the door to physical therapy.

However, I have done my therapy exercises for the day and am hoping tomorrow will be better.

Does going to 2 out-of-town doctor's appointments in 1 day count as exercise ?

Totally spent.

Hiker ... That is SCARY!! I hope you are OK.

Yes, bonnie .. that COUNTS!! I hope you are ok too!

Our trip to the dentist went very well. Our old hygienist was there so all three of us were happy. She left last year and when we asked, they just said she was no longer working there.

She's going to friend us on FB ... She's the best hygienist ever and I've had some good ones! My hubby is pretty particular and if he likes her, that's saying something. lol

My back and neck hurt from traveling. It's about 2 hours each way. Very happy no rain .. but it's raining in the area and here now.

Tomorrow I will get my haircut and then go to our Bible study luncheon. (It's to invite others in our condos to attend and maybe join our next study.)

PRAY that I am able to climb the stairs without making myself worse

I'm missing my OCC regional meeting because I wasn't paying attention to my calendar. Darn!! Two of our volunteers just got back from a shoe box distribution in Namibia.

I REALLY wanted to hear about it. I've seen pics and videos and they were so amazing!!!

well...signing off for the evening

Did my usual routines at home and at the gym.

Then spent the day with Josh, my Mom and her BFF at our favorite large indoor flea market. We strolled around for about 4 hours! I found a really neat vintage, round, white American Tourister suitcase for $19.95! I just love it! It's so 60's!

Then we ate dinner at a Chinese restaurant that was inside an Asian market, so we did some more shopping!

Finally got home around 9:30!

TuTu nice to hear you and your hubs can spend time together! I bet he's enjoying the three wheeler!

Hiker sure hope you get to feeling better! I walk outside bare footed when I turn the sprinklers on and off in the front yard. Just a few minutes but hope that helps in grounding.

Well, off to check Google on how to clean the outside of my new suitcase.

Ak--I giggled about the suitcase. Want a tan American Tourister suitcase? Not round, though.

Struggled with steps again big time. Am looking for someone to put up rails on each side of my porch. It is concrete, so not easy to find someone. Going down on my butt is hard on my shoulder and is going to ruin my shorts/pants.

Plumber came back and used plumber's putty for my sink leak. I think that will help. No charge since he had to come back.

Went to Bible study this morning. I really enjoyed it.

Went to physical therapy this afternoon. Am very sore. Therapist said no more exercises today and only one session tomorrow. Glad for that.

Energy healer says she thinks I have a virus sinus infection, but I think the Lyme or something else is rearing its head, because I feel so toxic. I know this will pass but very discouraged.

Bought a shower stool. My neighbor put it together for me as I couldn't push hard enough to get the legs in place. A friend had loaned me one and I felt like I needed to get it back to her. Great for sitting on to shave my legs in the shower.

Sat for a little while with my socks touching the ground in my yard. Hope it helps.

Just a few errands today and am going to veg out.

Hiker I've had to use shower chairs and it really helps if you feel weak or dizzy. Sure hope Lyme stays in remission!

See everyone tomorrow!

My hubby used a shower stool. It really helps to be able to just sit and let the water run down over. Does that help with grounding??

He often says he feels better after a shower. He takes a shower in the morning when he gets up and again before bed. There for awhile, when he was feeling really bad, he used to take one at lunchtime too.

We had a nice day - it did warm up enough to run the air conditioner this afternoon. Cooled off again this evening. I worked at pulling weeds after supper until it got too dark to see.

The peas are blooming and have baby peas hanging on! Can't wait for fresh peas. We are eating fresh lettuce. The radishes have gone woody and the spinach didn't do well again. Not sure why.

Manname--Grounding has to be with the earth. I sit in my lawn chair and put my feet in the grass with socks on and tick repellant covering above socks.

Ran an errand and went to chiropractor this morning.

Did my shoulder exercises.

Felt awful this morning and stairs were tough, but feeling a bit better this afternoon.

Did a load of laundry.

Spent a lot of time calling around trying to find someone to install railings on either side of concrete porch. Have a guy coming for estimate tonight and two people on Monday.

One guy googled my address and sent me a photo and an estimate. Not even close to what I want, so he is coming out Monday. Uncovered porch, so prefer metal to wood and not all the way up to house.

Going to go finish the crossword puzzle.

Went to the gym and did 30 minutes on the treadmill and 15 in the sauna. Home to do 3 loads of laundry and now I'm just vegging.

Thank goodness we've had some rain for 2 days so I don't have to water the lawn.

Hiker glad you're feeling better this afternoon. I ordered a wrought iron hand rail that was attached to the wall instead of the steps from Etsy.com and used Theironsmith's link to shop their store. My neighbor loved it so much that she ordered one too. Might want to check it out. It did take about 5 weeks for them to make it and mail it but was so worth the wait. Saved us a ton of money.

Manname I don't know how you manage with working full time, kids, hubs and a garden! I'd like to plant a few things here at my Mom's. Would love to have a couple of blueberry bushes and an asparagus bed. I've decided to try container gardening next spring instead of putting in flowers.

Well off to find something to watch on TV!

I only work half days, so it helps give me more time at home. Sometimes I wonder how I do it all!

We need a new vehicle and hubby asked if I'd drive shift again instead of automatic. I said "No! Its too complicated. I have too many things to keep track of, I don't want to have to concentrate that hard."

Hubby couldn't understand how it would take concentration - he was sure I'd pick it up again in no time.

AK, we have peach trees in pots - the seeds we threw out, sprouted and thats how we got them. The one has around 15 peaches on this year and they are growing! We are thrilled!

My daughter has a blueberry bush in a pot - it has 2 bunches of berries on it.

I must go out and pull more weeds. The row with beets and kale is almost finished!

Tomorrow the local town is having their annual yard sales, so we are hoping to go find a few bargains. Who knows what treasures we will find! Both son & daughter took off from work so they can go too.

Ak--Take a picture of the handrail if it is at your current residence and send it to me, please.

My wall is brick and I will need the rail to attach to the concrete at some point. Really don't want it all the way up to the house as then I can't get the snow off the porch in the winter.

One contractor came out with an ajustable ramp that had rails, but the ramp would go into the yard which would not be good for rainy or snowy days. He recommended someone else for the job. LOL

Manna--Did you find some bargains?

Did my shoulder and knee exercises.

Went to run an errand and go to library. Can only check out 2 books as I can't carry much weight. lol

Struggled with my steps and had to crawl up on my butt to get up my cement porch. Problem with that is then I struggled to stand up. With one terrible bad shoulder and the other one hurting it was hard.

Started looking at real estate listings for condos. Found one that looks good and will contact realtor. It is in adjoining town and far from where I live and far from my friend who helps me out a lot.

Not sure I can move now with shoulder as I couldn't pack up anything.

Maybe if I can get porch railings installed I will be okay here for a lot longer.

I go through this toxic periods where my legs don't move, but now I can't use my trekking poles to get up and down porch as I have easily done in the past due to the shoulder surgery.

Going to read and watch NCAA track and field. I used to be a serious runner, so love to watch.

Found a Taste of Home and Quick Cooking recipe book for .25 each! Found 2 small carpets - new! With tags still on! - for $2. And 2 nice big flowerpots for a quarter each.

The children each were buying things too. Our son with Lyme even went along. He really wanted to go, but was worried he might not hold up long. I think it was a little more than an hour he was along.

He is saying this evening that his day was pretty good. He ate a lot more than usual today. He is disappointed that he didn't get to more places.

I'm tired tonight. Wonder how far we walked??

Just got in from watering the outside plants, picking strawberries, and pulled a few stalks from my rhubarb plant.

Sonny helped me plant the peppers & celery. The peppers are his project - sweet peppers and some jalapeno peppers. I also planted the cabbage, cauliflower & broccoli.

One of the other boys did some rototilling between the rows to keep the weeds down. We were hoping to get a load of mushroom soil to mulch the garden this year.

There's some wash to fold yet and the floor should be swept...... then I'm ready for a snack and my bed!

Today me and Mom went to our once a month luncheon at a Chinese buffet restaurant. I had a great time but ate things I shouldn't have.

Tonight I shopped a bit at Walmart, Big Lots and Burlinton Coat Factory. Found a cute neutral colored linen news boy cap for $8.00 and bought a couple items for Sunday dinner.

Hiker I'll send that pic tomorrow. I had a hard time finding someone to do such a small job so glad I found what I needed online. Admire that you used to be a serious runner! I'm not very coordinated and haven't really participated in group sports but enjoy the outdoors and solo activities. I'm trying to psych up me and Josh to get in shape for some hiking once it cools down. I'd love to do the GA part of the Appalachian trail.

Manname you and your family found some great treasures! My sister used to love Taste of Home cookbooks. Thank you for sharing what you all are growing in containers. Gives me hope that I'm on the right track!

Well, it's almost midnight so time to relax. Night all!
