We're off for another week of exercise! Are you gardening, walking, doing laundry, housework, swimming, dancing, weight training, etc.? Just about anything counts as exercise on this activity inspired thread!

What can you do today?

[woohoo]

Whew! I've been busy with housework today. Also did my at home PT. So the early part of the day I spent doing laundry, vacuuming, wiping down floors and the bathroom. For fun I diagnosed what was wrong with the trip lever I replaced in our toilet. Bought a universal one that didn't fit right so ordered the exact manufacturer part from Amazon.

So just waiting for my nephew to come over for dinner. My Mom made sushi for the two of them and I'm probably just going to have organic chicken broth and nosh on some raw carrots.

That's my day, hope you all are having a terrific one!

Did my shoulder exercises twice.

Sorted through my tools. My neighbor came and took a few of the smaller ones. Will take the bigger ones to the tool lending library when I get some help to transport them.

Spent a lot of time yakking with my friend from MN and with my mom.

BFF stopped by to get some teaching supplies that I hauled home and did not need after retirement.

Shoulder exercises at home and then went to PT.

Agonized over decision to move and rescinded my offer on the villa today. I know it is the right decision, but not an easy one to make.

Have a guy coming to give me some estimates on this house for vinyl flooring etc. I thought about moving laundry upstairs, but think I will wait on that.

Still plan on purging what I don't need here and selling or donating to charity.

Rained hard here today again and we need it, so not complaining.

Manna-how doth thy garden grow?

Hope it all goes well, hiker!

Come fix my toilet, AK!!

I went to the city to have a small growth cut off my chin. So fun. I got a little reactive but I had taken benadryl beforehand and then more Pepcid while waiting for the numbing to kick in.

I made it. Whew!

Then I went for an adjustment. Couldn't do acupuncture because I couldn't put my face down in the thing for your head. (you know, on the table?)

Then I met my friends who just got married. They were school shopping at Kohl's for their 9 yr old daughter. I stayed long enough to see all the outfits and I save them $53 with my Kohl's cash and coupons.

I was thrilled to be able to help them. I had a 30% off and a $10 Kohl's cash. I really don't need a single thing at Kohl's right now.

and guess what? Kohl's let me use my Rewards card so I will still get money back later!

Then I came home and got my traction done. Whew .. I was gone about 7 1/2 hours. Exhausted.

Had a chiropractor appointment at noon today, so took it easy until after supper tonight. My hip is grumpy - using an ice pack again.

Laid cardboard under the summer squash plants to keep the weeds down. I planted them late after the peas came out. One plant has blossoms on it and tiny baby zucchinis. I planted a mixed packet of summer squash this year.

Also planted the last of the sweet potatoes. I hope it isn't too late in the season. I got these slips from sweet potatoes that were sprouting at the grocery store.

Our peach tree in a pot has 9 peaches left on it. There were around 18 originally. Hopefully these will ripen. They aren't very big, but they do have a little yellow tint to them.

The beans have rebloomed and need to be picked tomorrow. The beets, carrots and onions were overtaken by weeds so I had my son mow them off. Now we should be able to easily dig them out. Also the potatoes.

We had beautiful weather over the weekend. It got a bit warmer today, but we hadn't started the air conditioner.

Tonight's the night to watch the meteor shower - not sure how much cloud cover there is, if we'll be able to see them.

Joined the local hospital's wellness center again with my Mom today. She worked out on the NuStep for 26 minutes and walked 4 laps. I finally got back to my old Zumba class and did my best to participate but was very careful of my neck, back and arm. So I danced for about an hour which was way to long! Next time I'll cut out of class sooner.

Super busy day of exercise, errands and grocery shopping. The high here was 98 and it was horrible! The heat just sucks the life right out of me!

Hiker that was a tough decision to make but I'm glad you decided to put moving off the front burner. I was worried about your shoulder and all the changes you've had recently would be to much to handle.

TuTu you've had a very busy day! You were just a machine...going from a derm procedure to chiro and shopping to traction! Great about Kohl's!

Manna it must be a chiro day! OK, I'm getting hungry reading your post about all the fresh fruit and veggies! I didn't know you could grow a peach tree in a container. Also I don't know where you live but I want to move there. No air conditioning? Meteor showers? Sheesh! I'm in the wrong state!

Well it's 1:27 a.m. and I need to try and sleep. Night all!

[sleepy]

Well, the air conditioner is back on again! We had a little shower this AM. Calling for thunderstorms this afternoon/evening.

AK, the peach tree in a pot was a volunteer that came up in the garden after we threw the peach seeds & peels out one year. We are renting here and wanted to take the tree along when we move. So it went into a big pot. Surprised us by blooming & growing peaches!!

I am dreaming of peach ice cream, Manna.

Did my two sets of pt exercises for shoulder.

Went to Home Depot to get lighting tubes for garage lights. Tall neighbor put them in for me.

Took old lights tubes to Batteries plus Bulbs to recycle them. Small fee but can’t put in garbage.

Have “ants in my pants” this afternoon. Just puttering around. Can’t do more sorting and purging until I get friends to help me lift items off top shelves and help me cart them down the stairs to charities.

I did start to sort through some clothes, laying a lot aside to donate.

Home PT and then off to the gym for 30 minutes on the treadmill. Recovered in the sauna for 15 minutes then showered and off to pick up Mom for her PT appointment.

Afterwards we went to eat lunch and went shopping for gifts til 5:30.

Manna I'm dreaming of peaches too! I have some gardening books and one on container gardening. I'd be thrilled to grow peaches in a pot!

Hiker purging the closet can be a big job. I was talking to a friend of mine who's 64 and said she still has her prom dresses! I bet her closets are a nightmare! I have very few clothes since I've lost so much weight and had to get rid of my bigger things.

It's 3:33 and I desperately need to get some shut eye! Night friends!

Did my shoulder exercises twice.

Had the last 4 windows installed in my bay window today. They look great, but since they are different than the old ones, he needs to add more trim. And he was having trouble matching the stain to my current trim.

So, he is going to try and mix stains to come up with the correct color. I assume he will be back tomorrow, since he left some of his equipment here.

I really like Mike. When he does a job, he does it properly. Sadly he is moving from Illinois like a lot of small businessmen.

I went to the functional chiropractor. He felt that some mercury was coming out. I thought I was done with metal detox. Sigh. [shake] Now, I have a new Pekana product to try and help with this.

AK--how can you stay up so late? I am ready for bed around 10. [Big Grin]

Have a good evening.

Did my home PT and arm routine this morning then headed to the wellness center with my Mom for my Zumba class. I only danced around for 30 minutes and we used these fun Zumba maracas which were probably about a pound and did a lot of arm work with our dancing. I had so much fun!

Well, I really need to get in shape because in November my Mom and I are heading to Okinawa Japan for about a month. We haven't seen family for awhile and for me it's been since 1988 so I'm very excited.

Hi Hiker! Glad you got your windows just about finished. Hope that mercury gets detoxed quickly! I've been up late gabbing on the phone and really just excited about our up coming trip. My Mom said that folks go to bed early and get up early over there so I said, no problem. So looks like I have to put myself on a schedule.

Well, time to veg!

Bye everyone!

Did my PT exercises.

Worked a tad in the yard pulling some weeds and trimming back small shrubs. Can't balance on a ladder to reach the top of the forsythia, though.

Shows I am making progress with the shoulder now that I can do this, although I will be sore.

Energy healer agreed I had some mercury being released. She worked on killing more of the sinus infection. Seems never ending. Makes me very toxic.

Did manage to get to the grocery store. In and out as fast as I could.

Windows are all finished now and trim around them looks great, too. Happy with the work.

Took care of my passport application this morning then headed to the Y. Did my usual 30 minutes on the treadmill and then hopped in the sauna for a wonderful 15 minutes. Showered then headed home.

Errands with Mom and then repaired the toilet replacing the universal trip lever with a brand and model number specific one. Works great and no need for a plumber. Yay!

Hiker how nice it must be to get back into the groove of every day life. I'm envious that you can do yard work. That tells me it must not be to unbearable outside. Still waiting for cooler weather here. Glad the window guy was able to match the color on the trim. That can be hard to do.

Well, my Mom just put in her dinner order of store bought gnocchi and pesto so I'll be whipping up her dinner. I'm just sticking with organic chicken broth and maybe an Asian pear.

See everyone tomorrow!

Went to PT for shoulder. My surgical shoulder is about the same as my left shoulder now.

Left shoulder had severe tendonitis a few years ago and needed therapy, so it is not a strong shoulder at all. Therapist said I need to do all shoulder exercises on both shoulders now. So, I have 2 sore shoulders.

Sadly, he only stretches the right shoulder due to time constraints. I need him to work on the left side, too.

Did a little more yardwork but too dry to pull weeds. Praying for rain.

Went to chiropractor and am going to relax the reset of the afternoon and evening so adjustment holds.

Did my at home PT and arm routine then off to Zumba class to dance away! I laugh so much because I don't really know all the moves and sometimes I'm not very coordinated. I've never had so much fun getting a cardio workout in.

Then me and Mom grabbed a quick lunch and hit the local indoor flea market. We lucked out and found 2 large older wheeled suitcases for $12 a piece!

So now I'm just vegging and watching some TV.

Hiker that's great news that your shoulder strength is the same! Bet it's going to be a lot easier to do things. Try not to overdo!

See everyone tomorrow!

Neither one of my shoulders is happy, but way happier than yours, hiker!!

AK .. we can't wait to see pic of your trip. (not here, but somewhere!!)

I had to see my allergist yesterday about my lack of breathing. HA. So I'm on a steroid and a steroid inhaler. Apparently, breathing is important.

Missed our church's council meeting because our church secretary decided to spray Febreze right before the meeting. My husband texted me and told me to stay away!

She just won't listen to me about how she might actually kill me one day.

Tutu--Steam was coming out of my ears when I read about the secretary spraying Febreze. I can't stand a lot of fragrances--not because they affect my breathing, but I just don't like them.

Hope you can explain to her or the pastor this is a matter of your health although it sounds like she already knows it and is ignoring that fact.

AK--Have suitcases, will travel! [Smile]

Rainy day here and I am not complaining. We need it. Lawn has not been mowed in 5 weeks.

Did my shoulder exercises twice.

Ran a load of laundry and will do my second load tomorrow.

Cooked and froze meals for part of the week.

May watch the All in the Family and Jefferson's special tonight on TV. I used to love those shows
"back in the day." Guess that dates me. [Big Grin]

Started my day with home PT then made a quick breakfast in the shaker bottle. Made a carrot juice, almond milk and powdered hemp seed drink then headed to the gym.

They had a dance party at the Y so I joined in briefly before getting on the treadmill. Did my usual 30 minutes and spent about 20 minutes in the sauna.

Finally sprayed brush killer along the fence today at dusk. Then trimmed some bushes and my container plants so yard looks neater. Finished up by replacing regular bulb with a bug zapper one on the front porch.

I'm so ready for bed!

TuTu I'm going to try to update my phone so I can take better pictures! I have a Samsung S7 edge and the newer phones take better pictures. Good grief! That secretary needs an attitude adjustment!

Hiker I whipped up something tonight and it's in the crockpot. I made Mom and Josh something similar to beef stew to put on top of some gnocchi for Sunday dinner. I'm having a tasty veggie salad topped with chicken salad. Gotta be healthy!

I'm dozing off while I'm on Lymenet! Haven't done that in a long time!

Night all!
