It is small - about 1/4 inch. Seeing an oncologist this Thursday. Will know more then.

This has been a stressful year. Perhaps that played into it. Lyme stress. Family stress.

Anyway getting better from the new tick bite and now this.

Hoping its small size will help me out.

Guess I will do what the oncology doc says now and move onto the natural stuff later.

Thanks for your support.

So very sorry Rivendell on your diagnosis.
Please know many are sending healing wishes your way.
It just doesn't seem fair why life is so hard.

Please research Dr Eva Sapi, Professor of Cellular and Molecular Biology @ University of New Haven.

Dr Sapi is one of the leading Lyme Disease researchers and has many peer-reviewed published journals. Her previous career was in ovarian and breast cancer research but after she contracted Lyme disease, she changed her course to finding a cure to LD.

Dr Sapi and her research team are currently conducting studies between the link of breast cancer and LD.

Here are some of her publications, older dates are on cancer research.
Newer dates are on LD research.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. This has been such a good support group over the years.

Bonnie, it is interesting that Dr. Sapi is doing research connecting lyme with breast cancer. I had an EM rash on this breast, sooo.

Does Dr. Sapi still believe that Stevia can kill lyme? If so, I may try it.

I had BC, and, of course have TBD's.

Tincup has posted about cancer and doxycycline---very interesting! She posted here about it, if I remember right. Plus on her webpages she has info about it.

bartenderbonnie gave me the link to her new webpages the other day in a post I made. (I can't find it while I'm writing this now & have to go to bed, sorry).

PM me or write here if you want more info and support.

Hey Rivendell...

Well, if Lyme isn't enough, now this! Oh my!! Sorry to hear so much is piling up on you!

I can't believe I came here tonight- first time in months I believe, and saw your post with Rumi mentioning me too.

Hey Rumi! [hi]

Unfortunately, many with Lyme do get a cancer diagnosis. In my opinion part of it is due to excessive inflammation, and of course the infections.

Interesting to note... many, most if not all, say (if given a choice) they would rather have cancer again than Lyme.

Years ago I started following the science that shows Doxycycline "turns off" cancer cells.

I am working on a site to be able to save and share some of that information. It is, like many of my other sites, a work in progress.

On the main page please see the article under the caption..

Scientists find way to 'turn off' cancer
Antibiotic halts aggressive tumours in mice

That was the first study that caught my eye. Been following it ever since.

I have seen a man with prostate cancer and a dog with bone cancer take doxy and both became cancer free.

There have been others, but I happen to know these two personally.

Hoping this will help. Hang tough and keep on trucking!

And thank you Rumi for telling River about this link!!!

BTW- Rumi and BonnieB both are excellent sources of information on this and other topics too.

I am sorry, I am in and out here of here and may not see a reply.

If I can help more, both of these kind ladies have my email address which they can share.

Sending you my best thoughts and wishes, Rivendell...
Wish I was able to be of help, but I don't have the necessary knowledge. You have lots of good people here who care and can be helpful.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks so much all of you. I would thank each one of you, but it is a long list of names.

Well, that is very interesting about doxy helping to kill cancer. Thanks for the link. Only thing for me is that my esophagus and throat are so raw from acid reflux that I cannot tolerate doxy. Zithromax is one of the few antibiotics that I can take.

When I get through this immediate cancer crisis, I want to have surgery for the reflux so that my esophagus and throat can heal. Was pursuing that path, when breast lump appeared on the mammogram.

Well, I am to have a MRI on the breast to look for any other tumors, and if no others are found, then a lumpectomy will be performed. Then maybe take an estrogen inhibitor and/or radiation.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Lots of suggestions for natural tx for cancer at TheTruthAboutCancer.org, ChrisBeatCancer.com, also at Razi Berry's site, Dr Veronique Desaulnier beat breast cancer and has lots of online info about it.

Natural supplements are recommended, like curcumin and Essaic tea, and more.

Thanks Robin. Those look like good sources.

I keep thinking that women should have ultrasounds instead of mammograms because mammograms give are breasts a concentrated dose of radiation. That seems rediculous to me.

I'll look up those websites.

Blessings to all.

You're right about mammograms - these alternative sources are not recommending them - they think they can actually worsen the cancer. They're recommending thermography, which is safer and can also detect sooner.

I've been watching these summits for awhile. I posted notes here for two Quests for the Cures series done by Ty Bollinger with TheTruthAboutCancer.

Here's the first one - http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/3/34905?#000000
Scroll down a little to read our take-away notes.

And the 2nd one, called A Global Quest: http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/3/35581?#000000

Chris Wark, featured in TTAC, has step-by-step instructions on how to beat cancer at his ChrisBeatCancer site.

Hey Rivendell,

How are you doing? Any news?

Hey everyone. Thanks for all the links and support.

Had the tumor removed along with significant marginal tissue. Surgeon was very good. Very little scarring that will probably fade.

But on the marginal tissue removed was found pre-cancer cells. So on Jan.20 this month will have more of this area removed.

Also, when I had a breast MRI, they found a tiny nodule in my lung. Said this is very common in the ohio vally where I live, because the air quality is so poor. But it is usually benign.

I will have a chest CAT Scan today.

When I know more,will post.

Lyme has given me good training on dealing with this. Still dealing with lyme too, but it has been improving.

You guys are great.

Please keep us informed about what's going on.

Well, the CAT scan showed that my lungs are clear - no tumors. Had a second surgery to remove pre-cancer cells, and it went well.

Will see oncologist next week to determine next step. Thanks so much for all of your support and the good info you have sent me.
