Spring into spring by telling us about your exercise! [Smile]

Are you walking, sewing, doing yard work, cleaning, etc. Almost anything counts here as we encourage each other to move.

I know that for me, exercise relieves some stress and we all have enough stress with Covid19 in our country.

Hang in there and keep moving! [hi]

I was up and down the stairs today a gadzillion times doing laundry. And looking for that one sock that disappeared during this process. If you see a lonely blue sock with a colorful hot air balloon pattern let me know. [Big Grin]

I did some cooking.

Am laying off the shoulder exercises and balance exercises today. Overdid it on my knee yesterday and my body needs a break.

I have a good book that I would like to finish!

Hi Hiker! Thanks for starting us off again this week!

Obviously I overdid it on Friday with the raking. I'm finally getting around better today. I did end up cutting out my dress pattern Saturday and started sewing the bodice of the dress. Much to my chagrin it's too small! So now I have to figure out how to add some extra fabric on the sides and maybe the sleeves too. What a bummer!

Been dizzy the past few days and am chocking it up to the half a pain pill and quarter muscle relaxer I took on Friday night. Darn MCAS!

Today I think I'm going to try and alter my dress. Wish me luck!

See you all later!

Ak--Oh my! Sorry about the dress. I bet you will figure something out. Hope the dizziness passes.

I did my shoulder and balance exercises.

It was a crisp cool afternoon but not windy, so I bundled up and walked.

I got a new knee brace from orthopedic MD today. My one for the left knee was bought when I had lost 30 pounds due to Lyme and was sickly thin. I have gained that back and so needed a brace that fit. Feels good when walking with it on.

Friend dropped by to see if I needed anything from grocery store. She stayed in her car and I stayed 6 feet away to talk. She has asthma and Graves's disease and certainly doesn't need to be exposed to anything.

Just going to chill on the couch after dinner.

Oh AK, what a disappointment! Time to go with plan B. Most times something can be figured out.

Didn't get any sewing done Saturday. Did get the skirt sewed on 1 dress this afternoon.

Daughter had to hunt for her pattern. Now I need to help her cut the dress.

Hubby managed to get his concord grape wine bottled on Saturday. He started that batch almost 2 years ago.

Rained today, though the sun did peak through for a few minutes this evening. Its supposed to be sunny tomorrow.

I have a tooth that is giving me pain. I think I got a strawberry seed or something stuck down beside the gum. Trying to swish coconut oil around it.

MannaMe-Concord grape wine? Sign me up for the tasting. I will bring the cheese and crackers.

Ak--Hope you are feeling better now.

I spent a lot of the day working on the last lesson for the book of Judges for Bible study. While we are uncertain how we will meet, the leader is looking into some virtual online ways.

I did go to PT this afternoon. They are at a level one meaning they called all the elderly and all those with dangerous health conditions and suggested they not come in.

If they go to a level two, then only those who are post surgical will be able to go and that means I will have to wait until life gets back to normal. We have had 8 confirmed cases of Covid19 in town with one death.

I am off to get my construction paper and make a heart to put in the front window for the week. Our neighbor hood is putting different symbols out each week for kids to come by and spot and keep count. Of course they walk with their parents and keep a social distance. Need to keep them occupied and get the little ones outside.

Haven't done a thing today just playing a computer game and eating. Was still a bit dizzy today and forgot that when I went to my allergy appointment last week they mentioned that my blood pressure was a bit low.

So I took it today and it was about 103/66. That's low for me so maybe that's contributing to my dizziness. Will mention it to my GP on Friday. They haven't cancelled my appointment yet so maybe I can lower my BP med.

Haven't worked on my dress yet but soon as I'm able will get back to it.

See everyone tomorrow!

Hiker, Hubby says in 2 years the wine will be ready. So be ready to come on over with the cheese & crackers! The wine does have a nice grape flavor, but it still has that harsh, raw taste.

Today I managed to finish 1 dress! The second one needs elastic in the waist. I made it without elastic, but when I fit it on, it made me look fat. I do have some pounds to loose, but don't like to emphasize the fact!

Had a sunny nice day - warmed up nicely after our cold rainy Sunday & Monday. The wash dried out on the line. Its still waiting to be folded.

Hubby complained that his arms hurt (muscle ache) and I suggested he go outside a little. He said he did - And the cat sneezed on him and scratched his foot! He was not impressed.

Daughter has her dress cut, but she was tired of it before she was half done... I foresee this could take awhile and lots of encouragement.

Slept in this morning.

Then did my shoulder exercises.

Nice this afternoon, so I went out and cut back the clematis. Realized how weak my legs are after squatting for 30 minutes to cut the low vines.

Did my balance exercises.

Spent a lot of time coordinating between my parent's accountant and their retirement home residential director. Trying to get the tax forms to the accountant while everyone is locked down. Illinois has not extended its tax deadline, yet. Mom has dementia and is refusing to send all the forms for fear they will be lost. Can't convince her that all she needs to do is xerox them.

Normally I would drive the hour there and take care of it, but can't during our "shelter in place" and their retirement home total lockdown. If my parents walk out of the center they are quarantined in the apartment for 14 days. Very discouraging to see my mom's fast decline.

So, I am thankful today was sunny and I could get outside and blow off steam.

Still dizzy today so called GP's office and they told me to try not taking my BP med. Showered and went to the grocery store for a few things and dropped off a couple items to my nephew. Rented two movies from Redbox, Aladdin and Aquaman for me and Mom. Also picked up some chili from Wendy's for dinner.

Feeling drained so am going to take it easy again.

Manna way to go on finishing your dress! Laughed about your cat having attitude. Beautiful day here too and am enjoying it from the couch, LOL!

Hiker I know you're worried about your Mom and Dad. It must be very hard to not be able to see them. Hope and pray that everything will be OK with their finances.

Hang in there everyone and see you all tomorrow!

Got the other 2 dresses finished today. Also sewed a nightgown for summer. I have three flannel nightgown cut for next winter. At least is supposed to be a Christmas gift.

Cloudy, rainy day today. Sunshine tomorrow and then rain is predicted for Fri & Sat.

Need to get our taxes finished. I think all the papers we need came now.

My tooth is still grumpy. My SIL offered me some silver to try calming things down. I'll go pick it up tomorrow morning.

Manname--You must be in a state that has shelter in place because you are going to town on the sewing. [Big Grin]

I did my shoulder exercises this morning.

Went to Bible study via Zoom on the internet. Glad we could still meet and see and hear each other even if it wasn't in person.

Went to the grocery store for myself and dropped off some groceries on a friend's porch.

Got in a quick 20 minute walk before it started to rain. Looks like rain through Saturday night.

Opened a closet to clean and quickly shut it. Maybe another day. [Wink]

Hi everyone! Took Mom to her PT appointment and then from there we went to the grocery store. We were masked and gloved for our little outing.

Still a little dizzy today but better. Didn't take my BP med and also slept in a different room that doesn't have mold on the window.

So today I actually cooked a couple of chicken breasts with fresh herbs that I potted. Made a squash cornbread dressing and stir-fried some green beans. Dropped some off on Josh's porch too Hiker.

Manna I really admire that you finished your dresses! Once I feel better I'd like to finish my dress.

Well....off to watch the Golden Girls since not much else is on regular TV.

Night all!

Didn't do much today. Mended sonny's jeans - needed patches on the knees.

My tooth, gum, jaw, cheek are giving me grief. I was rifing tooth & gum frequencies.... with the wands against my face. There's now a swollen area on my cheek. The children laughed at mom having a chipmunk cheek.

Hubby said he noticed that happened to him too, so don't touch the rife wands to my face anymore. I used a warm compress for awhile this evening and the area seems to have softened up.

Hubby was out giving the boys advice as they were fixing vehicles today.

AK, hope you feel better soon!

No, we're not in 'shelter in place', we had some rainy days and what better time to sew! I love rainy days for sewing - its so comforting doing something bright & cheery while the rain sings a tune on the porch roof.

We are in an area that only 'important' businesses are operating. Only 1 son is out of work. The rest have essential jobs.

Its time to go to bed - I can't spell anymore - correcting every couple words!!
Good night!

MannaMe-Hope that tooth area heals up pronto!

Rainy day today.

I have to admit I was pretty lazy except for going to shoulder therapy at the clinic. I had to get through 2 separate areas of questions about coronavirus but was surprised no one took my temperature Of course, I would not go to physical therapy if I had a fever or any symptoms.

I have 5 exercises to do 3 times per week just to keep the shoulders fit. Very reasonable.

I am supposed to start knee therapy on Tuesday but by then the clinic may close to patients who are not post surgical.

We now have a drive through COVID19 testing site for those who have fevers of 101.4 or higher and respiratory symptoms. Health care workers and first responders have first priority. I imagine the test kits will not last long.

My tooth, jaw, cheek is much better! The swelling is going down and I had very little pain at all today. I slept very good last night - only waking up at 6:00 AM.

A friend suggested using lavendar & frankinscence oils on my cheek. I tried that, and the silver my SIL gave to me. I also held a warm compress on my cheek for awhile and listened to healing scriptures.

Had a sunny day - washed my bedding and hung it out. I'm just waiting to crawl into my nice fresh as all outdoors bed tonight!

Did some more sewing - made another fleece blanket instead of working at the nightgowns.

Hubby was outside awhile a couple times giving the boys advice on fixing rust on vehicles. This one needed new metal welded into place. He said he can't wait till he can go do stuff himself!

Hi gang. I’ve been busy at home and also being phone support to my friend who has presumptive COVID. I fear she will not pull out of it. She has had to use Epi pens twice now.

Over the past two days, I have cleaned out all the junk from under our bathroom sinks. So happy about that!

Mostly I’ve been spending my time managing the house and cooking. I picked up groceries on Wednesday. I love their service. I just heard that our local Walmart is a 7 day wait for the pick up service. I was able to get mine in two days from a grocery store.

My husband is now reading more about COVID and is worried. We are staying in except for my picking up the mail. I now leave it in a box in the garage unless it’s something important. I have those thin plastic gloves that you can throw away.

We had our Bible study on Wednesday via conference call. It worked great. We do miss seeing each though, so we may go to zoom at some point.

Take care, everyone!’

Tutu--Our Bible group loved Zoom for Bible study. Way to go on the cleaning. Am praying for your friend.

I went for a walk in the fog this morning. Ran into an elderly man who is a master naturalist. We run into each other quite often. We had a nice chat (6 feet away from each other) and enjoyed watching the mallard ducks that crossed our path. (The lake is a mile away but the ducks live in the field near us)

My daffodils are blooming now!

I did my balance exercises and a lot of stretching.

Ran a load of laundry including the sheets. Warm sheets are almost as good as sheets hung outside!

I did a bit of cooking.

Am off to watch the video that goes with the next Bible study.

Wash a load of gloves, scarves & hats. Put them in the dryer and want to pack most of them up for the season. Will leave a few pairs of gloves out just in case......

Also washed a load of small rugs... made the mistake of having a red one along which turned to of the others a little pink. Oh well, at least they are clean.

Didn't get any sewing done again. Maybe tonight I can put a few seams in....
