Like Just Don, I too vomited while using Duragesic patches. And only when using them. Nauseated most of the time but only vomited with the patch.

Beware is right.

I use at present 292s alternated with Advil gel caps. Gets me through the day but doesn't come close to eliminating the pain.

Please use caution with Duragesic patches !

Hi Gary,

i'm from bucks co. too. i've been on the patch for more than a yr. i have SEVERE pain. my muscles in my arms had shortened , i was drawn up in such severe pain for so long. nerve pain is my worst pain.

when i got to my llmd after yrs of ducks, she put me on the patch. not right away. tried other stuff first.

couldn't wait to get home and fill the prescription. expected that in 1/2 an hr the pain would melt away. didn't happen. she started me out on the 25's. moved up to the 50's. now on the 75's. did not go up to the 100's due to nausia/vomitting that existed before patch, but i also made worse by stretching out my appts as we are paying for them out of pocket.

insurence pays for my meds with co-payment. but you can only get 1 mos supply as they are an opiate. do not do what i did and try to make them last longer. i was putting myself thru withdrawel on a reg basis without realizing it. doesn't seem they do that much. had to spend a day in ER when i got the stomach flu on top of withdrawel.

i do know they do something as when i'm off of them, i cannot believe the pain. i take neurontin too, also flexerel and ultrcets for breakthru pain. still in lots of pain. can't believe the torture.

but , i do know that i am having some good days and getting some stuff done while on patch. it is a problem keeping them stuck on, even though the package says you can swim with them on.

i don't know how my post got posted twice, i'm confused! anyway, be sure your dr knows you are putting a new one on sooner than 3 days, as you may not be able to get more if you run out too soon. and withdrawel is NOT fun. i do know.

i live in yardley PA and we are getting hit hard here. most people i know have it or had it or have suspicious symtoms.

I have to say I've never tried the duragesic patch and it sounds horrible with what you all experienced. The patch that I mentioned in my last message was a natural ingredients and I had recommended it to so many people and we all have great results from it.

I put it on one hour before bedtime and walking on it to activate the ingredients since it needs extra body heat and must adhere closely to the heal. I experience some tinkling sensation in my legs and it feels kind of strange, but definitely no pain. There is no chemical drugs in it so I don't have any kind of side effects such as vomitting or anything else. I actually felt a little tired while wearing the patch. I guess from the pulling sensation from the herbs. I was told Podi Patch helps removing toxins or impurities from our body. After the first night usage I felt more energy, less body pains and aches, and more alert. I slept much better since I feel less body aches while sleeping. I have been using it now since August and I definitely wouldn't want to go back to some of my prescription drugs my doctor gave me before. My friends also used these and they have the same good results. If any of you want to give it a try I recommend purchasing a 5 days supply to test it before doing a month program which is less expensive.

It worth a try than this duragesic patch stuff you are discussing. Podi Patch is only one kind so there's no lower or higher dosage to it. Take care, all.

Hi Ginger,

I actually have a couple friends with Lyme's and recently was awared through couple sources that I might have it too. I am looking into having myself test for it. I started out over 5 years ago with immune system problems with chronic fatigue syndrome, severe arthritis in my muscles and joints where I was pretty much confined to my bed, under function thyroid glands, and totally brain dead what others called foggy brain. I never related my illness to lyme's since I live in the city and walking in the woods is not my kind of activity. Well, I was told recently that I could get lyme's through mosquitos' bite and my symptoms are so similar to it.

I was tired of taking one drug after another without much results and too many side effects to endure so I talked to a lot of friends who are into natural healings. I've tried quite a few and then I discovered Podi Patch through someone on LymeNet so I tried it. My friend with lyme's is using it too and we both found it really works. I've recommended it to several sources recently and they love it as well. This product works for all types of illness since it is designed to remove toxins and impurities from our body which is like a cleansing effect. If you are interested in using it I recommend you order a 5 days supply to test it first. They have one month program for much better price once you experience the results.

I am so grateful that my health improves so dramatically so I'm just very excited to share with everyone. Perhaps it helps them too. It's such a blessing to feel healthy again and a little set back from time to time is just a little reminder for me of the past so I can I remember to take great care of myself everyday.

It is also important that you use products through people who've used it before since they have the first hand experience and its safety. My aunt used to work for FDA in medical and drugs field so I asked for her opinions. There are so much pros and cons info online which is very confusing for me to know which is right. And at this time of my health all I know is that my health has improves tremendously since I got rid of most of my prescription drugs and doing natural healings. This might not work for everyone and it is a choice only made by you. I also learned a few things from the company as well when I have questions.

I hope what I have to share helps answer your question. I welcome any correspond and willing to learn from others as well. Nice to chat with you anytime, Ginger.

Mimi
