In regards to the situation that arose last week regarding name calling, etc., everything pertaining to this subject matter should all be deleted now. If your topic is no longer there and you are wondering where it went, it had probably been deleted because of the subject matter.

This is now in the past and should not be brought up in conversation again. This issue needs to be dropped. Going forward, there should be no name calling, and please get all the information before pointing fingers.

If you are to question someone’s motives, please email him/her directly to get the information you need, or email me.

The name calling and abusive language that was being thrown around was extremely uncalled for! It is against the rules. Those that broke the rules were notified/warned. I will not disclose the names of those I contacted.

Displaying people’s personal information (disclosure of full name, email address, phone number, etc.) without his/her consent is not allowed.

I am unhappy with what I have seen on LymeNet this past week. This is a place to comfort each other; not to turn against certain members. Since this is now in the past, let’s please concentrate on the purpose of LymeNet - to give support to those in need of help, whether they have Lyme, know someone who does, or are doing research to better understand the disease.

Like I said before, there should be no more talk of this, please.

It was also brought to my attention that topics that did not pertain to medical discussion were being posted in the Medical forum. Please be aware of which forum you are posting to. If it has nothing to do with medical issues, please keep it out of the Medical forum. This forum is very active and should remain free of unnecessary traffic to ensure those looking for medical advice can get into the forum without delay.

Also, solicitation is not permitted!!! Please do not sell/promote your product on this site.

I have been informed that the link for the Term and Conditions (Titled Privacy Statement) was invalid. It is now fixed. Please view these rules, as they have been updated. Please be aware of the new section of these Terms and Conditions which states that posting a doctor’s name will not be allowed…EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.

If you need anything, please feel free to email me anytime.

Jenifer, thanks for your time and effort. I know everyone has their opinion about what should be done about this and that.....and I'm no different. Sometimes I agree with you and sometimes I really don't. But it's still is a lot of work and time volunteered, and being a moderator is a thanksless job most of the time. So thanks again for trying.

Thank you for getting this back to educational/support group board again.

Jenifer, is there a way you can get your post to remain the FIRST thing in each section so it doesn't get buried since you've gone into detail about new rules/terms of use, etc.?

I do not think there is a way to do that. I can suggest that every now and then, post a reply saying, "Up", just to bring it to the top of the list.

Thank you very much, Jenifer!

I hate to mention this but...we can't bump a locked topic. (Actually, if your're going to be around medical any time soon you might want to bump it for us and then lock it again.)

That's all, not making trouble, not me.

I read the post wrong. I'm sorry. I thought you were just referring to this forum.

I can definitely do that for you. I think a week should be good in the other forums and I am sure this one will be added to often. If not, I'll say two weeks for this one.

be deleted or closed by now, it is getting a bit out of hand.

Thanks for the rules.
