- I would ask your local support group but most F & F centers around the country are NOT good for lyme patients.
Find an ILADS-educated LLMD or LL ND (naturopathic doctor). You won't find ILADS-educated LL doctors at a F & F center, unless you get very, very lucky.
But, even if so, they likely will not be able to treat as they see fit. They will be tied by the F & F franchise which does more to load on supplements rather than to address the actual cause and treat infections very aggressively and head-on.
You need a LL doctor who is not being held to rules of a franchise, one who is his or her own boss and can make all the decisions without a franchise contract to consider.
Most good LLMD and LL NDs know what supplements can help support the body during treatment but most F & F doctors know nothing about lyme or other tick-borne and stealth infections - or they think just getting the body stronger will be enough. It is not. It just does not work that way with lyme.
Support is essential, of course, but not nearly enough. If you are drawn to support methods, find a LLMD with experience in that, or find an ILADS-educated LL ND. The key is their being ILADS-educated and keeping up with ILADS conferences, etc., even if they have their own style beyond that (as most LL doctors do). -

Hi, I will answer even though my answer goes against the group. I did like my Fibro and Fatigue Center in Atlanta. They actually addressed a lot of things my LLMDs never had.
BUT, they are expensive!! BUT, they found my Lyme and Ehrlichia.
They tried to treat my lyme, but in the end, told me to go to a LLMD, as they had some experience, they didn't feel they had enough. I was happy about their honesty.
If I could afford to go to both FFC doctor and a LLMD, I would go. I have had 2 LLMDs, one will not treat viruses, one didn't treat co-infections, one didn't treat hormones, one didn't treat yeast, but both came highly recommended.
All you can do is be the best informed as you can. I believe in the FFC ideas and philosophies. I just think that a LLMD needs to treat lyme. And, it even takes time to find a doctor who will treat all of your symptoms.
