What dosage of art is usually considered in lyme or babs? I am using Allergy Research brand.

I took that brand. Doc had me take it twice per day on an empty stomach.
I took it on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only of every week.
Can't take art continuously as I understand the body will make something to stop its absorption in the gut if you do.
It worked for me. It is now 5 1/2 years since I completed my treatment and I am still symptom-free, enjoying my life.
Artemesinin is used to treat babesiosis, not lyme. As soon as I started treatment for babesiosis, the medication I was taking caused babesiosis flares like clockwork for me. The flare would start on Friday evening and end on Sunday evening. That is why my doc had me take the art on those days. He wanted the art to encompass the flare.
The first weekend I took art, the flare was so minimal I could not believe it. Prior to that, I was like a zombie for the 48 hours of the flare. So, I had a very dramatic result from taking artemisinin.

Go to the website "Planet Thrive" and click on "Stephen Buhner". He answers questions about his protocol which includes Artemensinin.
He know recommends taking the whole plant rather than the straight Artemensinin.
Also, in his book "Healing Lyme and its co-infections", he explains the correct dosage for the whole plant.

In one book it is recommended taking 400mg twice a day. Another doctor recommends taking it according to body weight and a 150lb person should take 900mg twice a day. Both said to take it after starting abx for babs.

I started 6 months ago taking 100 mg of Artemisinin 2x/day Fri,Sat,Sun and was also taking Bactrim DS 2x/day every day and also taking clarith or zith, along with pulses of Flagyl, and doxycycline pulses as well. Over time I was able to increase to 200 mg of Art. 2x/day and for past 2+ months have been taking 300 mg 3X/day and current schedule is 3 wks on and 1 wk off as this schedule was recommended by Dr B during a recent conference. The highest dose I have seen mentioned was 1500 mg/Day by the famous Dr K. MD,PhD. He mentions that being the dose for malaria. Malaria can be cured in days, that compares to months for Babesia. For that reason I think starting out on the 1500mg/day dose would prove toxic for many Babesia/lyme patients if they tried taking it on the 3 wk on and 1 wk off schedule. Would like to hear from any who have tried such a high dose.

My LLMD has me on 1200 mg/day, Allergy Research brand - just M,W,F. I am currently 97 lbs. I am also on IV clindamycin, IV zith and oral septra, flagyl pulsed at the end of the cycle. I feel awful, but get 9 days off antibiotics at the end of my cycle and always weekends and T/TH off, so I tend to detox heavily/recover during those breaks.
