So after seeing the LLMD yesterday and being diagnosed by igenex with lyme i will be starting the IV Ceftriaxone 2g, 4 days a week 2times a day for three months at the iv infusion clinic. Ive been sick for 4-6 years with lyme and just found out 2 days ago and have never taken an abx in my life. The LLMD says ohhh you will be fine. She says work should be no problem and I will be fine. Does that sound right??

I did great on IV ceftriaxone. Everyone is different with how they respond. I would atleast expect an increase in symptoms when first starting the medication. Some people feel worse and others better.

I have not been one to have severe herx reactions. My herxes never stopped me from doing anything I wanted to. Again, everyone is different. I hope you do well with it.

I'm allergic to penicillan so I was also allergic to ceftriaxone. I had horrible rashes and still get a slight prickly sensation while doing the infusion.

I've been on it for 6 months now. I also have ALS. Ceftriaxone helped my lyme symptoms alot but the spreading paralysis continues...

Positive for Protomyxzoa but absolutely nothing else in Igenex

just asking...why don't you get a PICC line put in?? it is SO much better than all the needles!!!!I've had mine in for over a year and its been great.
oksy now for ceftriaxione or Rocephin my experince is I became so sick; only out of bed for a few hours a day...but thats the point kill the bugs...means make the host no fun to live in!
No sugar NO flour and as much probiotic as you can choke down is essential!! I have had cruel diareah for 3 years now.
Also, you must take some toxin binder while on IV ABX. white clay, activated charcol or zeolite or Questran or Cholestyramine (check out Dr. Shoemakers website for more info)
this level of ABX means Lots of dead bugs and you have to help them out of your body or you get toxic really quickly.
This is really tough and it depends on how sick you are heading into it.
you are not alone, there is Lots of LOVE here for you. please let us know how you do.
I was on ceftriaxone for 8 months then IV azithromax, Bicillin
oh! I also take Ursidiol while one ceftriaxione to keep my liver from sluging up especially if you have a gall bladder. ask your LLMD
I would be happy to help in any way...we are in this together!

oh, I forgot I also am on IV lactated ringer 1000ml daily and I mix a banana bag twice a week to keep my nutrition up since my guts are such a mess and to keep me hydrated since ceftriaxione is hard on your kidneys too.
I was also on IV invanz which is crazy strong but I did actually feel good on it after a while...but I just got moved back to Ceftriaxone and its hard again.
I get very agitated very easily on this med so be gentle with yourself!!
