I have a sharp pain on the left side of my chest when i take a deep breathe. Any thoughts?

I had the pain when I exhaled....all tests showed everything was normal so I just attributed it to Lyme.

I have been hitting the Bart hard right now and last year the Lyme. I have been putting the babs off cause I know what I am in for...Guess it is time to hit that. Thanks

I have this same thing. Its called "Costocondritis'.
Its caused by lyme. Take motrin for it. and hot pad. Sometimes it evens hurts my lower ribs, or my upper chest. Its mainly the middle where my sternum is and hurts when I breathe in.

It could be costochondritis if you have that symptom in isolation but lung infections, pericarditis, pleural effusion, etc. can cause similar pain. It's good to check that kind of pain out if it lasts a long time.
