I started treating for a tapeworm about 2 weeks ago (Product called Zymex II known for digesting tapeworms)
Since that time my urine has a very distinct smell to it.
I've heard sulfur, ammonia, candida, toxins, etc
Is it true that parasite die off can cause high amounts of ammonia? That's my only guess.
PS: only other thing I started taking was Pekana Detox kit (maybe the Renelix for kidneys is helping the kidneys to detox something that smells in urine)
*shrugs shoulders* What yall think?

My urine has a weird sulfur smell to it too lately, and I'm not taking any meds right now?
I know the strange smell you're referring to though...very pungent...darker and 'thicker' in color, too, more so than usual.

The Pekana drainage kit works on all levels of detox..
Renelix in particular works on the kidneys and opens them up allowing your body to excrete substances and toxins that otherwise would have been still trapped within the body.
Itires works on the lymph system while Apo-Hepat works on the liver and gallbladder. I don't think what you are experiencing is from just one of the remedies; rather all of them.
Renelix does target the kidneys in it of itself, but by using them all at the same time, they work synergistically, allowing the one to work off the other.
Unless all of the systems (liver, kidneys, lymph) are all working properly together, than none of them will work singularly the way they were designed.
It's highly unlikely the tapeworm med is causing the potent urine smell, but either way, it's a good sign that your body is finally releasing toxins that need to go.
I have said it before, I'll say it again, the detox kit by Pekena is the single best detox product I have found in the last five years. It simply is amazing
ACZ (Advanced Cellular Zeolite) by RNA is the other product that I am never without when it comes to detox options.
Best.

Do you have your liver levels and kidney panel checked fairly regularly?
It might be something to check against and see if the smell change has something to do with those levels.
There is a correlation between elevated liver levels and dark and strong urine.

I was checking over my notes/calendar
How coincidental is this?
3 weeks ago The day I started Glutamine powder That afternoon I wrote down "Sleep Coma"
It was a very strange occurrence. I took a nap and had this horrible out of body experience where i couldn't get out of this nightmare. but I was aware of my senses. Defined as sleep coma.
This happened on same day I started glutamine. That week I was also treating a tapeworm.
Man it's so confusing - but one of those 2 HAS to be the culprit.

This "Sleep Coma" has been described by some here in the past with the use of Zymex.

Pun intended!!
djf,
Do you think it's a good idea to even take a break from Pekana? Cuz doesn't it push/instigate detoxing?
Maybe I'm going too fast (sorry just havin a frustrated night - anything involving my kidneys always puts me on extra anxiety alert!!)

Canefan - I know glutamine is recommended for GI issues, but it is neurotoxic in the presence of ammonia. Ammonia is thought to be one of the Lyme neurotoxins.
3500mg 3x/day is a TON of glutamine.
You could have a very swollen brain.
Google glutamine with ammonia, or central nervous system, or Lyme. There are probably threads here on the dangers of glutamine for us.

I wouldn't slow down on the Pekana. It's homeopathic.
You could muscle test to see if it's not helping right now. Thing is, if you weren't peeing this out, it would still be in you.

Do NOT use glutamine dude!!
Lyme= too much ammonia
Glutamine and too much ammonia= weird out of body experiences and feeling NUTS!
Lose the glutamine asap dude. Seriously. NO ONE w/ Lyme should be taking it. I tried it numerous times and each attempt resulted in feeling awful. I have not heard of any Lyme patient benefit from it. On paper is sounds nice as it will heal the gut, but in reality its disastrous for us. Steer clear man..
No, do NOT stop Pekena.

I started the SyDetox and Radinex a couple weeks ago, actually based on your post of your interview of a LLND. I haven't noticed anything about urine, but definitely the first week or so, much more sweating and smelled pretty bad for sure. Thanks so much for posting about them. Now I see you're mentioning Renelix--perhaps that's different.
It's good to know the downside of glutamine, but I'll tell you, the stuff has been a life-saver for me, with the Xymogen product GlutAloeMine, really helping heal my esophagus from all the acid reflux over many years. I started taking it many years before I had any idea what lyme disease was, so I knew how helpful it could be before I had to weigh the risks and rewards. That said, when I recently had to take it at bedtime for a couple weeks, my dreams were horrible, then returned to just regular after I stopped taking it at bedtime.

Just re-read, by the way, 3500mg THREE times per ady, goodness, over 10,000mg per day. That is REALLY A LOT of glutamine.

It could just be the herbs in the parasite stuff causing strange smelling urine? Like as a side effect of the herb itself, not necessarily something being excreted as part of a kill-off?
Otherwise, could be detox from the Pekana too. I remember when I was detoxing heavily, I was getting this really in tense, strange taste in my mouth. I assumed I was detoxing something. I can't remember for sure, but I think I was taking the Pekana drainage kit at the time.
My two cents is that the Pekana homeopathics are pretty powerful, so if you think you are detoxing too quickly, I'd back off on the dosage. There IS such a thing as detoxing too quickly. But if you feel like you are handling the detox okay otherwise, and it's just that your urine smells, you may not need to back off.
The Pekana detox and drainage kit didn't make my urine smell though, so I don't think that would cause your urine to smell continuously.

This could also be vitamins too. The reason for the smell, as I understand it, is b/c the vitamins are actually helping, not hurting.
Found this online> Your kidneys are the filters for your urine, and the vitamins are simply helping your kidneys do a better job of cleaning out the impurities from your system and excreting them through your urine. So the smell is actually from all the impurities in your urine, which are leaving your body. And it may have something to do with your diet as well.

Michael,
Ya, Renelix is for kidneys Radinex is for eliminating radiation
Sydetox is great from what i hear (and cheaper & can be taken alone for detox - where the other 3 work synergistically as djf mentioned)
Yes 3500mg glutamine 3x's/day is actually just following the labels directions too. Yikes! I need to be careful.
Hoosier,
I thought of that - but I stopped the capsules for 1 week and the smell continued - so I don't think it's the Zymex II
I've searched on curezone and apparently this is fairly common.
Zymex II literally digests the tapeworms and what you get is a backed up colon/liver and high ammounts of ammonia.
They recommend Ornithine for ammonia and Dr Schulze #1 intestinal clean for colon/liver. Yes that formula has cascara sagrada - but at this point I'm desperate enough to get the junk out of me.
Plus I'll only do it for maybe 2 weeks.
