Hi my Uncle is an MD in Mexico but he is not an LLMD he is simply a pediatrician. I have talked to him about lyme disease and he has become a little more open to it. I even confessed to him that I had been bitten by a tick when I was younger.

He is a bit of a skeptic though I don't blame him because most Drs are. Anyways, he told me he is curios about the idea of long term antibiotic treatment. He knows that I have some weird blood infection since I always come out positive for salmonella, hepatitis a and other diseases.

He even asked me to take a test for HIV, Hepatitis C and other viral infections or STds, they all came back negative (couldn't have any of these anyways i am a conservative christian and I am not sexually active).

He cant understand it, since blood work keeps on coming back negative. I am waiting on the lab kit from Igenex and hopefully will be diagnosed soon. Anyways my question is what ABX have you taken for the past years? What dosages?

I would recommend he go to www.ilads.org since he is an MD. There are treatment guidelines, etc., there. ILADS has lots of info for doctors including information on both diagnosis and treatment.

** please note, dosages need to be sent in PM's, please see http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/1/80948? **

Lyme is stealth--just as you describe--able to hide everything it comes in contact with in biofilm that is made from your own body...

This is one of the reasons it cannot be seen.

Another is it shuts off the immune system to not recognize invaders---no recognition---no antibodies.

It is a win, win, for possibly the smartest organism on the planet that I can think of.

Then it has another secret up its sleeve---it is extremely hard to treat, because it protects itself so well by being able to morp. into other forms--some in less than a minute.

But it can be wore down and you can get back to life as proven by many.

I think of the treatment as layers of organisms that must be peeled off to get to the crux of the matter.

I will not let Borrelia win...

Makes sense that you were checked for HIV (but I hear ya!)... Lyme also suppresses the immune system and could be the reason you have those other infections.

We're not allowed to share abx dosages on the public board, but you can thru PM's here.

The above links should give you everything you need to know.
