If anyone had to take ocd meds, what did they take and how much. How long to kick in. Mines a ssri, which I've taken before and had to get off and I did. I know all here agree about natural, but when it gets to a point you need further help, you do. Good stories please. Don't think I can handle horror stories now. Thanks and feel good.

I have severe OCD. The only medication that ever helped any of my psych symptoms whatsoever was Klonopin, and that only ever helped my anxiety...it did nothing for my OCD, unless causing me to sleep a lot (and thus OCD less because my eyes were closed) is considered an OCD 'cure'.
I've been on everything though...Prozac, Paxil, Serzone, Anafranil, Seroquel...nothing ever helped.
I just ordered a book called 'Saving Sammy' though, and apparently the mother of this boy finally found a doctor who put him on Augmentin for several years, and he's now completely cured of his OCD. Strep was the culprit, not Lyme.
Is Augmentin ever used for Lyme? Is it stronger than Omnicef? I'm tempted to beg my LLNP for it because my OCD is HORRIFIC lately.
You might be interested in this article...OCD is mentioned...
