Just wondering if anyone's had cardio symptoms through all of this..

Way back when this all started in 08 (if I only I knew what it was then) I had a majorly rapid heartbeat and chest pain outta nowhere..

2 years pass - I mostly feel "dizzy" everyday" but able to work, live, be happy..

This January 2011 turn for the worse - Weakness, numbness, dizziness need to get a diagnosis BADLY..

Finally did 10 days ago...Good, at least a diagnosis!!

BUT....

Been on Ceftin and and Amantadine, and now I can barely walk 5 mins without feeling strain in my chest, rapid heartbeat, increased respiration...2 weeks ago (pre-meds) I was walkin around the park for 1/2 hr fine..

I'm only 25 and feel like I'm 105...

Just wondering if anyone else has a similar experience? If maybe this "flaring" up again of beginning symptoms means the med is working..The bugs in my system are just being attacked?!?

Thanks so much. [Smile]

OH for sure. Tons of us!

You may want to make sure you don't have babesiosis. It causes a lot of heart problems... but then, so does Lyme.

MAKE SURE YOU SEE A CARDIOLOGIST!

Yes, one of my first symptoms, and still have it after 3 years of treatment. Although now I think at least some of it is caused by some medications I am taking.

Its good to see a cardiologist, as sometimes you can take medication that helps.

I had echocardiograms and wore Holter monitors. I was diagnosed with Innappropriate Sinus Tachycardia.

Just a fancy way of saying my heart beats too fast.

Yes, palpitations for years that were dismissed as normal.

Had severe chest pain one day and ended up in ER, found to have a Left Bundle Branch Block. Which they say is a non-life threatening rhythm, however it results in most people developing heart failure and being dead within 10 years.

My, but words seem to be twisted by doctors as elegantly as politicians.

I have chest pain often, signs of heart failure and fluid overload, shortness of breath. I take quite a lot of diuretics to keep the fluid from filling my lungs. I have long forgotten my pretty ankles of days gone by.

I too, have been given the "you're too young to have this or that" to which I now reply "You, doctor, must be too young to have the experience I need in a practitioner"

Can I get an appointment for when I am old enough to be taken seriously, make it a Monday?
