How often should you use a sauna for detoxing and for how long (every day, every other day, a couple times per week)?
Is infrared vs. traditional sauna better/the same?
I used the sauna at the gym tonight and lasted 10 minutes. How long should you try and stay in?

Hi, I use the sauna in the gym in my building. I go almost every day. I go about for ten-fiften minutes. Really helps.

I was told to use an infrared sauna by my LLMD for 15 minutes a day but it causes die off. He said it can bring on a herx to be careful not to stay in longer to start.
After the sauna he told me to detox and get rid of the toxins? I was not told the sauna helps detox but kills the spiros instead. confused now?

I don't know a whole lot about the different saunas. I know my llmd said that if we could afford it, it would be helpful but money's a lil tight, so it'll wait.
She did say that sweating is a great way to detox. So if nothing else the traditional sauna will make you sweat out the die-off and toxins.

I have a sunlighten sauna, the dome kind that you lay on the floor with. I havent used it in a while because Babs seems to be giving me fevers and its not good to raise an already elevated temp via sauna. but when my temp is low, its great. i would go in for 30 mins, sometimes i think that might be too much so when i start again, i'll be lowering it.
it is good to sweat things out, that is why exercise is recommended too. make sure to drink lots of water and electrolytes to keep things flushed and replenished.
