has anyone else experienced extreme sudden flares of fatigue during the daytime that resolve every evening? and found out what it is?
it feels like its neurological/hormonal though mri, thyroid and adrenal gland blood tests were fine.

since the fatigue started i have also burning in chest and light breathing problems (and asthma diagnosis), palpitations, headaches (in the evening), brainfog (gets worse on abx), hot flashes.

I have had nerve pain long before all this new symptoms showed up and was treated for lyme for years.

my fatigue always gets better as the day goes on... it takes me several hours to get up and be able to move once i wake up.

i have serious hot flashes too when i start a new anti-biotic, or if i stop taking anti-biotics all together.

i do b-12 shots to help with fatigue, i wish i had some advice for you, but all i can say is that i can relate!

Yep. Mine is related to adrenal problems...I think. I had a saliva test done and it showed my cortisol was at its lowest in the morning and elevated the rest of the day. It should be highest in the morning and slowly decline as the day goes on.

I had treated the adrenal fatigue with some supplements about a year ago but noticed the same pattern develop more recently. My LLMD ordered another saliva test. I will get the results when I go back in July but I'm guessing that is the problem again.

I do B12 shots as well, but they only help so much.

Here are two sites you can look through to see if adrenal fatigue may be a problem for you. I'm told it is a big problem with lyme sufferers.

http://www.adrenalfatigue.org/frequently-asked-questions-about-adrenal-fatigue.html#faq5

http://www.drlam.com/articles/Top_10_adrenal_fatigue_facts_made_easy.asp

I also see a chiropractor who seems to think that my problems sleeping and more energy in the evening have to do with parasites. I just started taking pills to address that issue so I'm not sure yet if that is going to help. but it is something else to keep in mind.

My "good" time of day is between 2pm or 3pm to 7pm or 8pm. That is basically the only time I can accomplish anything.

I thought mine was gone. I treated just Lyme for 3 months and my fatigue was so much better. I could get out of bed without a struggle, I could do things right after getting out of bed.

Now 3 months into treating Babesia and Im back down again. Cant get out of bed, go straight to the couch after getting up. So fatigued and lightheaded. For me, its just the infections messing with me, possible my adrenals but who knows. My test are always normal.

Do you have Babesia? A lot of the symptoms you listed sound like it.

I agree with Jamers. Classic Babesia symptoms.

I have my worst adrenal exhaustion with my Babesia flares, and my cortisol goes all out of whack.

With appropriate Babesia treatment, my adrenal issues resolve.

I think it's herxing (I have babesia too). I'm going through the same thing right now.

Exhausted this morning (and every other day this past week). I feel like I have the flu (no fever though, a little nausea), my eyes and face look like I'm sick, I can barely climb the stairs, I walk funny, and my breathing was quite shallow this a.m. after abx. Yet all this seems to get better in the evenings.

A wonderful contributor on this site suggested drinking lemon water (either for the lyme or yeast--can't remember), so I tried it this morning (11:00 a.m.) and it helped!

Sometimes I remember to put a lemon in my water and sometimes I don't. Maybe that's why I've had this every other day this week? Maybe it's pushing out the dead spirochetes or neutralizing the toxin they release when they die. Either way, I'm drinking lemon water from here on out!

I forgot to add, it is harder for me to breathe when it's humid (babesia thing). So if I don't breath right, I get headaches. So I turn on the a/c to take the humidity out of the air, even if it's cool outside. It helps!

Mindy, try a dehumidifier. Even a small (cheap) one will help a lot if the room isn't too big. The AC can only take out so much water from the air before it shuts off at low temps.

My first thought here was cortisol issues, too.
