Lyme is known to cause transient tooth/gum pain. I've experienced it a few times, and when I go to the dentist, he can't find anything wrong that would cause the pain. It may be a herx due to your meds. Might want to mention it to your Lyme doc next time you see him/her and see what they say.

I had horrible pain in my teeth and jaw that would come and go for the last couple of months. Hasn't bothered me in a few days (knock on wood) but from what I understand it is VERY common in lyme disease.

I have it too... my Doctor said it's the nerves. I did coconut oil pulling and it helped a lot!

I don't remember the abx(s) but I remember the tooth pain in early years. Teeth that were healthy no cavities no problems. The tooth enamel to it's core hurt. Not gum or surrounding tissue, the actual teeth.
It would move around. I remember just last year my two front teeth a couple weeks into rifampin for bart and myco pn started hurting after years of not feeling this sx?????
I can remember my nails hurt like the teeth did too. Not the skin, the nail itself felt like someone was driving a nail into them.
Some of the weirdest stuff. Then it would be gone. Things that happen that make you wonder am I really crazy? No you are not crazy.
Maybe the nerves into these teeth. I know there's a tooth chart/major organ chart that goes back with Chinese medicine. If certain teeth are problems it might be the actual pain or irritation of the organ associated with these teeth.
Do search on here for tooth organ chart. Might make more sense to you.

I suggest trying something simple and see if it makes any difference - swish a little bit of sesame seed oil around in your mouth for 20 minutes and then spit it out. This can take down gum pain - it does for me.

Random, shooting pains in my teeth were one of my first Lyme symptoms. It would come and go. Sometimes it would be a single tooth, sometimes a whole row of teeth either top or bottom.
While on ABX the pains got less and less and finally went away. So I thought !!!
Now that I am temporarily off abx to clear up IB from Ceftin....the pains are back.
Very discouraging after 8 months on abx!

It could be irritation of the Vegus Nerve. I had pain in my teeth as well as TMJ joints. My heart was beating fast and I had heart burn. A trip to the ER and I was misdiagnosed with a heart attack - That was costly! Slight attacks, I would feel first in my teeth.
The vegus nerve runs from the TMJ joints with branches radiating into the teeth. It then goes into the chest where it control the acid entering the stomach and the heart rhythm.
My attack was just indigestion caused by the medication I was on. Check your prescriptions for side effects of indigestion.
