I have a question for those who DO NOT have Babesia. I am wondering your symptoms because I get conflicting symptoms for those with Bart and Babesia. It seems that some symptoms are similiar and overlap.

I'm looking for this information because I need to know when I'm done treating Babesia. I have so many symptoms and Im really unsure of what Im dealing with right now. Some of mine went away and now are back. So Im hoping this would help with the process of elimination.

I have Lyme /Bart. I have heel pain, joint pain, esp. ankles, my body thermostat was broken and I was always cold before treatment, foggy brain before treatement, fatigue, racing heart from time to time, developed a skin tag (never had one before), forgetting words and names, poor short term memory, shooting needle like nerve pains. I think that is it.

I supposedly just have Lyme and Bart.

Headaches were my worst and biggest symptom since the beginning.
back and neck pain
knee pain
anxiety
crushing fatigue
air hunger
Pain in my arches (foot).
Brain fog
forgetfulness
Vision problems

Most will say I have babs, no positive test though...par for the course.

Just Bart here, it seems. Or 95% bart, 5% lyme.

Shortness of breath
Anemia
Brutal foot pain, feels like my arches are broken
Fairly strong fatigue
Weight loss
Burning quads and calfs.
Electrical sensitivity
Photophobia

I don't get headaches but I was getting horrible muscle pain that didn't match what I had done physically. That is better since starting treatment as well.

FYI, I'm clinically diagnosed with LYme/Bart. Test resutls aren't conclusive. Response to drugs makes me confident the diagnosis is correct.

PS changed my user name and location due to privacy, if you are confused about this post. Sorry for the confusion.

Suggest you read Burrascano pages 25-27, section entitled "Sorting Out the Coinfections."

I wish I could start Rifampin! Never thought I'd say that! But Im still on Mepron [Frown]

Thanks all, I also have the muscle pain for no apparent reason.

TF-I have read those 100 times! LOL but it seems that those are vague textbook descriptions and the person suffering actually has more personal experiences. Thats what I was looking for, since not all of my symptoms fit into the typical co-infection description.

It seems that fatigue, shortness of breath and brain fog overlap with Babesia? This is why Im so confused...but I definately have stronger bart symptoms.

Anyone with enlarged lymph nodes, sore throat, specific headaches??

Yes, I have a heavy head feeling and headaches. It seems more vascular in nature than Babs from what I have read. If you have high anxiety with meds and tremmers it is possibly bart.

Are you feeling any better with your treatment?
Maybe check with your doctor and review your symptoms. I actually used the check list from Dr. B's information and gave it to my doctor.

So maybe that pulsing feeling in my head is Bart also? I can feel my heart beating in my head.

Bearlythere-I am feeling better but so far I've only knocked down lyme a little, hitting Babesia (can't tell if Im done) and have full blown bart symptoms.

My doctor said that we will go by my shortness of breath to stop treating Babesia. That is still here but if that is also a Bart symptom that could be why. I never really had strong Babesia symptoms like night sweats.

My very first Lyme and Co. symptoms were headaches lasting for several days without explanation!

I have been off meds for 7 months now and am back here again because I've had headaches again

and am having other symptoms again as well! My LLMD felt I also had Bart ... never said anything

about Babs to me! Looks like I will be contacting again soon though too! [Frown]

Sickofthis-Its is strange and annoying feeling! I get it all the time, so sick of feeling my heart beating. I also get bad palpitations that seem to make is worse.

TN KIm-Sorry you are having symptoms again. Did you only treat Lyme? No treatment for Bart or Babs? If you did well for 7 months maybe you only have one of those. Can you relate to any of these symptoms? Did you also treat the cyst form of lyme with Flagyl or Tindamax?
