Hi tricia:
Not to sugar coat this but my daugher became worse before she started to get better. She was treated for babs over a year.
Took a few months before fevers broke. neuro lyme became worse until tindamax added to mix (and this took 4 months to start to show results and 8 months for fog to disappear).
There is light at the end of the tunnel. She just started school after missing almost 2 years.

I loved this combo. You will likely herx. Just take it a day at a time. Do your detox. Read the Mepron Blues thread.

I think a lot would depend on the dose of malarone you were taking.
Hubby has never really taken mepron -- thought he had an allergic reaction to it years ago. But for him the malarone helps, but only at fairly high doses.
Start the mino slowly -- many people have dizziness issues with that med -- even if you have taken lots of doxy in the past. 50 mg or defintely not more than 100 mg to start in my opinion.
As soon as possible I would try to add in artemisinin -- don't think mepron and zith will get rid of babesia for most people without something else added.
Good luck.

I am taking nutricology artemisinin along with biaxin and malarone. Works well, caps are bitter but less so if rubbed clean on exterior before swallowing. I seem to be cycling weekly with babesia symptoms including fatigue, night sweats, occasional cough. Hope it works for you.
