Hi, just had a few questions on side effects/herxing for biaxin. My doctor substituted biaxin for flagyl. I was on flagyl for several months. The biaxin seems to be stirring up some of the herxing/side effects that I had on zithromax. Maybe because its also a macrolide? I am on day 3 of biaxin (500 mg. 2x a day) and two hours after taking it this morning, had SEVERE exhaustion, couldn't think at all, mild lightheadedness. Is this stuff normal?? Please post. Thank You!

Sounds like a herx to me. Were you taking flagyl by itself??

Biaxin was a good drug for me.
