I was reading Dr. K's protocol and could barely understand it and I don't even have brain fog as a major symptom. I feel that I know a lot about the disease and the treatments but some of these protocols just seem so specific and long..I work full time, I can't imagine keeping up with all that stuff. :/

--------------------
First Symptom 9/09
Multiple docs, negative Labcorp test
LLMD: 1/10
Positive Igenex/CDC test
Treatment 2/10
2/10-8/10 Amox, ceftin, zith, flagyl
Currently: Bicillin, Minocycline, still dealing with severe breathing issues

Do you mean Dr. K in Seattle? As far as I know, he uses a really complicated natural approach (this is just my opinion, but I'm pretty sure that in order for it to work any natural program has to be pretty complicated- not that it won't work, just that lots is involved).

I don't know if I would recommend trying to follow that on your own. Have you seen Dr K?

Even if it is a different Dr., it can be very difficult to get a non-LLMD to follow any sort of standard Lyme treatment (mostly because there isn't one). Is Dr. K not treating you? If he is, can't he just explain what to do at an appointment?

If he isn't, I'd recomend finding an LLMD. If you can't do that, then go to
http://www.ilads.org/files/burrascano_0905.pdf

there is a very easy-to follow (at least comparatively to other things) treatment guideline. You could print that off and give it to your doctor.

I see a LLMD already. Have been for years. I am referring to Dr. Klinghard's protocol. I recently read about it.

Positive Igenex/CDC test

Ok. That is what I thought. Honestly, I can't help you there. I've heard about it, and read about it, and basically all I know is it is REALLY complicated, designed to get rid of any heavy metals, toxins, parasites etc. I also know it works.

Maybe other people here who have seen him could help you

GiGi would be one person to ask about it. She is very knowledgeable.

It is hard to understand any treatment and follow it with brain fog. I am very forgetful. I have to write things down and keep my meds in daily pill containers. I have to re-read information many times before I retain it.
