I'm going on a work trip which will require some unavoidable sun exposure. LLMD says to go off doxy for a week. How long should I be off doxy before the exposure?
I haven't taken it yet today and will be in the sun by Friday. I've had the burn on tops of my feet and hands thus far... my face, arms, legs have been ok.

I'm still sensitive to sunlight for weeks afterwards, but I've been run down and indoors for quite some time as well. I have no real exposure to sunlight until just recently.
Take some sun screen. That really helped me last summer. I'm not a big believer of sun screen, I just try not to burn, let my body build up instead of go out there and burn.

I was off doxy for 2 days before hitting the sun in FL for 2-3hrs. Then switched to Amoxi while down there and the sun exposure had made me feel better.
The half-life of Doxy is 18-22hrs, so 2 days should be ok, but the third day will put you at ease.
