I think my raw oral mucosa and tongue are an allergic reaction to Bactrim, but also could be due to folate or B12 deficiency. I'm thinking a combination of the two, like my folate finally got low enough to show these symptoms.
I've been on folate depleting meds for years!
I do take B vitamins, but I've kind of slacked lately.

Please be careful if you test positive for the MTHFR gene you must take Folinic acid and not Folic acid...

That is interesting. I read protomyxzoa uses up folate. F uses malarone to treat protomyxzoa and maybe the fact it depletes the folate is one way it inhibits it's growth. I was worried about supplementing it when I learned it likes folate - decided to take it anyway.
The hydroxyl B12 has really helped me. More energy.
Bactrim can cause a dangerous reaction called stevens-johnson syndrome which causes inflammation, rash and lesions of the mouth and body. It can be lethal. Look it up.
