- Now, I have no idea HOW to do this - keeping Rx cool but not cold, between 68 and 77 F.
Note: Benadryl inhibits sweat production - not something good for most with lyme (as they need to sweat) and certainly not good for summertime when not being able to sweat can cause the body to hold in more heat.
IF Rx have been in fridge, do not leave out on counter for more than the time it takes to remove the dose and then put back. When taken from cold to warm, the pills, the inside of the bottle can sweat from humidity in the room and cause problems in other ways.
I'm sure someone, somewhere has figured out a method to keep at ideal temp, maybe wrapped and then in the door of the fridge? On a lower shelf in a cupboard (though not near the stove or fridge motor - or in a steamy bathroom).
But - with kids in the home, the higher shelves are always the safest choice, even with tamper-proof lids (as they can fail).
