- Excellent.
I did this twice, each for about 3 or 4 months and did splendidly each time doing the full protocol and a couple add-ons.
However, even with a generous 25% discount from them for my income bracket, I just could not afford to continue.
It is very reasonably prices, top quality supplements and super accessibility. It's just that when the money runs out, it runs out.
I can't say this protocol can get you to 100% but I know that there are many who have done very well, indeed.
Some are put off by the garlic smell but, supposedly, taking chlorphyll containing greens powders should help. -

- Allicin (from Garlic), Coptis, Smilax are key here:

Not worth it.
From what I have heard, Zhang tells everyone on his consults that his protocol works for everyone but that you must use all the full product line up. He told me this too. And that the HH2 capsules would my bartonella. They didn't. I know plenty who took them and one person who claims cure. People say that they "help" though. But the cost is just not sustainable for most.
You can get similar herbs at 1stchineseherbs.com. I wish Zhang would drop his prices because I think he's great and the herbs themselves are very potent and good.

Don't worry CD57 - you are far from Debbie Downer (I heard she got banned)
I did Zhang many years ago (about 8?) and had very good results from it. I can't remember why I stopped it or what I moved onto, though.
Wish I could tell you more! I either need better record-keeping or better memory.

I used various herbal protocols during the times I could not tolerate the ABX. I used Zhang's for 5 months between borellia and bart treatment. Then I used the HH and HH2 for bart after levaquin gave me tendonitis.
I used massive amounts which was extremely expensive. It kept me stable for awhile but I relapsed. I think if you get your load way down with abx, you might be able to keep borellia suppressed with herbs but not so with bart or babesia.
Allicin smelled so horrible I could only tolerate it a month. Most people don't last two weeks. I recently found out I have a CBS mutation and cannot tolerate sulfur. Garlic has a lot of sulfur (allicin is garlic).
We tend to throw everything at these infections hoping something will stick. We try whatever worked for the other person without knowing what makes us different from everyone else.
