Nope it doesn't always cause those things to happen. I haven't had either of those come back below normal despite being IGM positive for the infection.

Ditto to what Pam said. I was positive for Erlichia too and didn't have those come back below normal.

ok, thanks, something else must be going on then, low white blood cells and low monocytes..if anyone happens to know if lyme or a certain co infections causes both of these please let me know.

Ehrlichia/Anaplasma may not ALWAYS cause low WBC's, but they often do.
In addition to eradicating them, taking Transfer Factor while treating can bring them back up. TF posted about this. Her LLMD had her do it, and it worked for her. Dr. B used to have people take it for that reason.
I've been taking colostrum (not the powdered kind, the actual colostrum), which is what Transfer Factor is made from. It's working for me, when nothing else was. I had been pulled off all
treatment my WBC's & neutrophils were so low. And the neutrophils didn't come up off treatment either. Only the colostrum did it. It's easier to get Transfer Factor, however.
