It just seems to make me feel strange (well, stranger than normal! ) And, it happens within about 15-30 minutes of eating it.
Anyone else have this?
Thanks!

Hey Tri; Yes, I do too!!! I stopped taking Garlic for a while because it made my neuro. symptoms kick up.
I JUST started back up on Garlic (along with a bunch of other herbs for yeast and parasites) and my head feels freakin numb and weird. My vision is crazy again with migraine auras.
I am kicking some yeast/parasite butt and I feel worse then a lyme herx. Never ends right?
Anyway......I think it has something to do with yeast or parasites.

I have been having issues with garlic and all sulfur foods. These are methylation issues for me. My guess is that's what you're feeling. Not an easy thing to get around. I'm tryin to sort it all out myself.
Best to you.

I take 2 cloves of garlic a day. Feel like hurling just after I take it and then that usually subsides. I think it is helping in the long run.

I developed allergies when I ate raw garlic before I became ill. It's kind of harsh & can burn your mouth, esophagus, etc. I don't know if it's a sulfur thing. For some people, it works great but for me - I didn't have alot of success with it.
There are other alternatives. I do use it in cooking for flavoring. Cooked, it doesn't bother me too much but it has no medicinal value, either.

Sparkle - how did you know you got an allergy to it? What were your symptoms? I'm starting to wonder if I am getting an allergy.

When I first got out of the mold, even the smallest amounts of garlic would make me herx, want to vomit, feel dizzy, just an awful feeling.
Garlic is a strong anti-fungal and I think it was die-off of mold/yeast whatever you want to call the mold that lives inside our bodies after we are poisoned by it.
I started juicing a clove of garlic into a beet/carrot/cucumber juice (one of each) After a while the die off got less and less. I took garlic pills, too. Alicin is the purest form of garlic. Always had to sit down while taking them.
Not sure if garlic hits anything else... if I were reacting from it, I would look into where in my life I were coming into contact with mold.
I can eat all the garlic I want now... and I do. With no die off symptoms at all. I love my guacamole with 4-5 cloves of garlic in it.

One summer, I was eating alot of Jersey tomatoes with fresh raw garlic, balsamic vinegar & olive oil. I got very severe hay fever type allergies. I felt like I breathed in some steel wool. I never had any summer allergies before or since. It was weird & unpleasant...
I couldn't think of anything else that might have caused it so I stopped the raw garlic. It went away after I stopped eating raw garlic with the tomatoes. I never had it again. If I eat raw garlic now, I get a runny nose.
It wasn't any kind of herx because I didn't have "Lyme" then. I wasn't ill, otherwise.

Garlic has a lot of sulfur so it can be effective against bacteria but if you have the CBS mutation, it can cause a lot of other problems. See heartfixer.com and read about it.
