My daughter woke up this morning with red swollen lips. She said they are itchy and very unncomfortable.
They are oozing a little although you can't see it she can just feel a little liquid coming thru her lips.
It started with cracked corners (which is normal for her in the winter) but this has never happened.
Could this be yeast as she has been having stomach pains, headaches and fatigue.
Thanks for any input.

Does she have lyme?
What meds is she on? (in case it is one of those--a side effect, an allergy, etc.)
Is she allergic to anything?
Does she itch anywhere else besides the lips?
Does she have a white coating on her tongue, especially when first waking up? Does she have bloating?
Does she have mouth sores of any kind?
Any trouble breathing?
For now, I would give her Benadryl in case it is an allergic reaction. The Benadryl will give her some relief if it is allergic reaction. It may take 2 of them or more to get relief.
Anything new in her environment? clothing, sheets, detergents, dryer sheets, soap, hair dye, supplements, etc.

thanks Judie. She was on fish oil when she was living home. Its hard as she takes so many abx and supplements.
Right now for detox she can only drink water, teas, and takes some supplements for detox.
the weather in the northeast was bitter cold last week..perhaps its a delayed reaction idk.
thank you!

Deb133,
If she has been treating for 4 yrs with no change, it's time to look into other options. Namely, treating parasites/worms which is now being recognized as the number 1 co-infection of Lyme.
Google parasite symptoms and check out the PARASITE WARRIOR SUPPORT THREAD. This is a serious infection and even the best LLMDs are not aware of it.

She is a lot better than she was 4 years ago. We actually have treated for parasites last year doing one of Dr. K's protocols. I would be happy to have her treated again though.
She takes 3 steps forward and slips one back. When she started college she had a major flareup no doubt due to stress etc.
We are making sure to take better care of her adrenals. Taking Vitamin D, probiotics, supplements to support her liver.
She is also taking Enhansa which alot of people have had good luck with.
So now its on to figure out why the stomach and head hurts and why her lips are messed up.

This one doesn't mention cracked corners but I've read it elsewhere:
YOUR MOUTH
Thrush (white coating on tongue), Swollen lower lip, Halitosis, Metallic taste in mouth, Bad breath, Canker sores, Bleeding gums, Cracked tongue.

Another thought I had was to check the ingredients of some of her personal products. Sometimes a company will change the ingredients and not tell the consumer, then the product causes a reaction.
Even check her antibiotics, maybe the pharmacy used a different manufacturer this time around.

I agree with Lymetoo. Cracked corners is from yeast.

ok thanks guys. Thanks Judie. My gut (pardon the pun) is telling me yeast as well.
When u put the pieces together. The headache, the stomach pains, fatigue, lips.
Even tho we do try so hard to stay on top of yeast you can't be on abx for this long off and on and NOT have a problem with yeast.
Anxious to see what her LLMD says tomorrow.
We go 3 steps forward and 1 step back uggggggg
thanks guys!

Deb,
Parasites have to be treated long term and then maintenance. The ascaris (roundworm ) are known to lay 200,000 eggs a day.If just one egg is left, the cycle will start all over again.
Hulda Clark suggests maintenance FOREVER. Candida is on the symptom list for parasites. Hope you consider treating this.
