i've been sick for more years then i can remember and i think i'm finally getting down to the 'why'- i recently lost a close family member and it really has hit me. i can't think properly, my blood counts (liver) are way off, i am seeing a llmd in a few weeks.
i feel like this is never going to end. i had to quit work 5 years ago and nobody has kept in touch. not my family, not my friends. they are all out skiing. i also lost my favorite pet last summer and feeling so sick and so down. i know there are herbs i can take, i think i read. i'm scared, what if i get worse. i sit here every day, i try to be positive, eat ok, but the losses in my life are mounting up and that is all i can think of.

Its great that you have an appointment with a LLMD. That will be a good start for you to start to heal.
Don't let yourself get too depressed before you seek medication to help you deal with all this stress. It is very stressful to be ill for years. Every one here knows what you are going through.
Just hang in there. You will feel better after you see a LLMD. That will get you going in the right direction.

Welcome to Lymenet!
I am sorry to hear about your pet dying. I lost one a few months ago too. The stress of it brought my lyme out again. Stress does this to me. But working on improving my immune system helps me to fight lyme.
Sutherngrl is right, try and cut the depression. Some co infections with lyme actually cause depression. Exercising with light weights gets rid of my depression fast. Detoxing is crucial with lyme, and exercising with light weights is the best method I've found to do this.
Have you read Dr. Burrascano's treatment guidelines yet? Dr. Burrascano had lyme and healed himself. At the end of his guidelines you will find the info about specific form of exercise (not aerobic).
Also, parasites are a HUGE part of lyme disease. We have to keep knocking them back, just like lyme. This and the specific exercise and diet helps.
Hang in there, you are with friends here. We understand.

Welcome! I have a 19 yo daughter who has been sick most of her life. We figured out what was wrong with her and she is getting better.
My husband, her father died last December, our cat died two weeks ago.
The stress of the illness and intense grieving has set her back.
She too has lost her friends and family, except for me and a wonderful boyfriend.
The loneliness is tough. Grief even worse.
But, even with all of the loss, she isn't giving up, and neither can you. Lymenet folks are an amazing family and once you get your diagnosis and begin treatment you will start to feel more connected. You will meet others who are going through similar struggles. You will find a new family.
I am sorry you are struggling so. Hang in there and know that we here at lymenet understand and care.

I understand much of what you are experiencing. It's rough even with support, but it's far more difficult when you feel that you don't have support.
When I first walked into my docs office, I expressed my fear and concern and asked if this stuff could be cured.
He said "anything can be cured".
It's been a long road, but I do believe that I am getting better.
Hang in there and pray a lot! There are some wonderful success stories on here in general (I believe)
