Topic: Are any of you familiar with the PUR2o water filtration system?

We are trying to find the best purification system for our kitchen faucet (not yet ready to do the whole-house deal).
This system is a combination of reverse osmosis, remineralization and ionizer. The website is pur2o.com.
I like the idea that they have a remineralizing component. I think that's important. Of course, we will also continue to supplement.
Also, the sales person brought up a good point. He said a lot of people are into the ionization....but it's only good if you are using pure RO water, otherwise if you are using regular water, all of the contaminants and toxic metals that are present can be absorbed into your cells. That is why it must only be ionized with RO water only. I thought that was a very good point.

This is what I setup in a small 1 bedroom apt, under my sink years ago. I installed another one in the house I moved into years later. I have been using that brand & stand by the price & performance.
You DON'T need DI. RO is good enough for drinking. The DI will remove further metal & impurities, but if you remove all from water, then it tastes funny. This is a known thing & that is why humans don't typically use DI for drinking water.
I used to use the DI part for aquarium salt water fish tanks, since fish and more so corals are very sensitive to metals.
This kit comes complete with installation & water storage tank. When I fill up a 5 gall bucket with tap water vs the RO water, WOW!!!! You can tell a big difference.
You want to simply jump into the crystal clear RO water, it is so damn purdy!
Since the price of RO or RO+DI can be just about the same, you can simply get the combo though. And if you have any fish, they will love you!

The links you showed are not the Pur2o brand. Have you used that brand by any chance?
Do you think one RO system is very different from the next?
I wasn't really looking at DI (deionization). I was more interested in the ionization (which apparently makes the molecules smaller so the cells in your body have an easier time absorbing it).
There is so much to this water thing....all very confusing. I usually end up going round and round, then do nothing. But I'm determined this time to try to figure out what will be best for us.
